According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province, at the 14th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Sites" Tourism Program and the 2023 Thanh Tuyen Festival (from September 20 to 27), Tuyen Quang attracted over 200,000 visitors, with total social revenue reaching 280 billion VND.
In the first 9 months of 2023, the whole province welcomed nearly 2.3 million tourists, reaching 91% of the yearly plan, up 7.7% over the same period; total revenue from tourism services reached VND 2,687 billion, equal to 90% of the yearly plan, up 24% over the same period.
More than 200,000 tourists come to Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023.
In particular, events such as the 2023 Tuyen Quang Trade - Tourism Fair have a scale of over 250 booths with the participation of over 200 trade promotion organizations, tourism, businesses, traders at home and abroad and 6 Viet Bac provinces (Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang) along with industry associations and craft villages across the country.
In 20 years, Thanh Tuyen Festival has been recognized by Vietnam Guinness Records 3 times: "Mid-Autumn Festival with the largest number of lantern models in Vietnam"; "Largest Mid-Autumn Festival tray in Vietnam"; "Largest pair of lanterns in Vietnam". The series of activities of the 14th Viet Bac Heritage Tourism Program and Thanh Tuyen Festival 2023 have ended, but the echoes still linger with many emotions, resounding forever in the hearts of delegates, tourists, and people at home and abroad.
In 2023, Tuyen Quang strives to attract over 2.5 million tourists, with tourism revenue reaching 3,000 billion VND. By 2025, the province aims to welcome over 3 million tourists; total tourism revenue reaching over 4,800 billion VND; contributing 6% or more to GRDP; creating jobs for over 25,000 workers.
