Over 12 billion VND to support people in the Northern provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters

* As of 9:00 a.m. on September 19, 1,257 agencies, units, localities, organizations and individuals had donated through the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels with a total amount of over 12 billion VND.

This morning, September 19, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province continued to receive over 2,132 billion VND to support the people of the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters from agencies, units and localities in the province. Accordingly, the people and officials of Cam Lo district donated 1.83 billion VND; Quang Tri Provincial Police donated 150 million VND (of which 50 million VND was donated to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front through the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee); the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development donated 132.313 million VND; the Youth Union of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development donated 20 million VND.

Although Quang Tri province is a locality that is often affected by storms and floods, in particular, it is forecasted that it will be directly affected by storm No. 4. In addition to proactively and urgently implementing measures to prevent and respond to storms and floods, responding to the call of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to donate to support the people in the North to overcome the consequences of storms and the circulation of storm No. 3, with the spirit of "Mutual love and support", agencies, units and localities in the province have actively called for, mobilized and received contributions and enthusiastic responses from cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the area.

This is a source of encouragement and practical and timely support for the authorities and people of the northern provinces to have more resources to overcome the severe consequences caused by natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.
