More than 11,500 candidates took the competency assessment test of Hanoi National University of Education

On May 11, more than 11,500 candidates officially entered the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University of Education.

This year, the number of candidates increased nearly 2.5 times compared to 2023. Candidates took the exam in 291 examination rooms; of which, in Quy Nhon there were 5 examination rooms, with 169 candidates. Da Nang City had 5 examination rooms, with 243 candidates. Hanoi had 11 examination sites, 281 rooms, with 11,125 candidates.

According to the representative of Hanoi National University of Education, the new point of this year's exam is that the question bank has been supplemented and updated, paying attention to the new method orientation of the Ministry of Education and Training after 2025. In addition, the Examination Council has arranged two more exam locations: Da Nang University and the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Candidates must take the following exams: Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography. The exam includes multiple choice and essay questions, aiming to assess students' ability at the level of understanding, application and creative application for university admission.

The questions are based on the current general education curriculum, taught in high schools according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates choose to register for a number of exams and use the exam results to apply for admission to university training programs according to the requirements of each university.

The content of the tests corresponds to and is consistent with the content of high school subjects and exams that students are familiar with; candidates take the test directly on paper.

The exam combines multiple-choice and essay questions with appropriate scoring depending on the test, including questions assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and the ability to reason, analyze, evaluate, problem solve and be creative.

The exam results are recognized by universities including: Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi National University of Education 2, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education, Hue University of Education, Da Nang University of Education, Thai Nguyen University of Education, Vinh University, Quy Nhon University, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
