Basically, this year most schools kept their admission methods stable, some schools added criteria to match the admission method.
Reviewing academic records, adding conditions for conduct classification
According to the enrollment plan of the University of Natural Resources and Environment , in 2024, the school will enroll 3,280 students at the Hanoi headquarters, a decrease of 250 students compared to last year. At the Thanh Hoa provincial branch, it will enroll 70 full-time university students.
In addition to the five admission methods as last year, this year the University of Natural Resources and Environment added a sixth admission method, which is admission based on the results of the thinking assessment test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2024.
Candidates must meet the condition that the total score of the competency assessment test (without adding priority points, without multiplying the main subject coefficient) must be at least 50/100 points.
The remaining five methods are: Direct admission with priority admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; special admission according to the school's regulations; admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam; consideration of high school transcripts; admission based on the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam.
With method 2: Special admission according to regulations of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, candidates meet one of the following conditions:
+ Candidates study for three years and graduate from high school at specialized high schools.
+ Candidates who have graduated from high school and have an English certificate TOEFL IBT from 64/120 points or IELTS from 5.0/9.0 or higher issued by a competent international agency with a valid period of use up to the time of application submission.
+ Candidates who graduated from high school and achieved good academic performance in grades 10, 11, and 12.
As for the admission method based on high school transcripts, the average total score for the entire 11th grade year and the first semester of 12th grade according to the admission subject group must be from 18.00 points (without adding priority points, without multiplying the main subject coefficient).
This year, the University of Mining and Geology plans to enroll students according to five admission methods, in which the school's admission requirements are that candidates must have good conduct or better.
In method 2 - Admission based on academic records, the school sets out the conditions for candidates to graduate from high school and have an average score of 18 points or higher for subjects in the 3 semesters (grade 11, and semester I of grade 12), with good conduct or higher.
With the method of considering candidates with international English certificates, the condition is to have a certificate of IELTS 4.5 or higher or TOEFL ITP 450 or higher or TOEFL iBT 53 or higher and have a total score of 2 subjects of the 2024 high school graduation exam according to the school's admission subject combination except for the English exam, achieving 10 points or higher, including the math exam.

According to the 2024 enrollment plan of Hanoi Open University , this year the school plans to enroll 4,100 full-time university students.
Basically, the school's 2024 enrollment plan will remain stable compared to previous years, including: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam; considering academic records; direct admission; considering the results of the competency assessment test organized by Hanoi National University and the thinking assessment test organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
In addition, the school also considers admission by combining high school graduation exam results with aptitude test scores; and considers admission by combining high school study results with aptitude test scores.
With the method of considering transcripts, candidates need to have an average score of each subject in the admission group or an average score of the subjects used for admission not less than 6.0.
The school accepts applications for transcripts from May 2, with an expected deadline of June 20.
Hanoi Open University said it will not use the results of the foreign language exam exemption in the high school graduation exam for admission. The school will convert foreign language scores for candidates with IELTS certificates from 5.5.

The Forestry University announced that in 2024, the school plans to enroll 2,300 full-time university students for 27 majors at its Hanoi campus. The training period for bachelor's degrees is 4 years and for engineers is 4.5 years.
The school plans to consider admission in four ways: Considering the transcripts of 5 semesters; considering the results of the high school graduation exam; considering direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school; considering the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Regarding tuition fees, it is about 7 million VND/semester for the Vietnamese program and about 13.5 million VND/semester for the English program.
The school accepts early admission applications from February to June 2024.
Thai Nguyen University of Science said that in 2024, the school will enroll 17 standard training programs and 5 teacher-oriented training programs.
The four admission methods used by the school include: Direct admission; admission based on the results of the 2024 high school exam; admission based on high school transcripts; admission based on the results of capacity assessment of public higher education institutions/thinking assessment results of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Tokyo Medical University Vietnam has just announced enrollment information for 2024 with 266 quotas for three admission methods. Nursing alone has 110 quotas.
Method 1 - Considering the 2024 national high school exam scores, the school considers the results of the subject combinations that the candidate registered for, including: A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), B08 (math, biology, English).
Admission conditions: No subject in the admission combination has a score of ≤ 1.0. The minimum score for receiving applications is according to the threshold to ensure input quality within the time limit prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 2: Admission according to the school's own plan, including:
- Direct admission based on high school academic results. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have an average score of ≥ 8.0 points for the entire year of grades 10, 11 and semester I or semester II of grade 12; or candidates must have good academic performance or higher in semester I or semester II of grade 12 and have a Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) level N3 or higher.
- Consider high school academic results along with essays and interviews. Candidates must meet one of the following three conditions:
Candidates have an average score of ≥ 6.5 points for the entire year of grades 10, 11 and semester I or semester II of grade 12.
Candidates have an average total score of semester I or semester II of grade 12 for 3 subjects in 1 of the school's 8 admission groups ≥ 19.5 points.
Candidates who have completed a foreign study program equivalent to high school, the school will base on academic performance to consider admission.
Method 3: Direct admission for candidates who have won national prizes. Candidates must have won first, second, or third prizes in the national excellent student competition, or won first, second, or third prizes in the national science and technology competition and have graduated from high school.
