On June 26, in Hanoi, the Central Organizing Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize an online conference to train and foster knowledge on Party building for leaders, reporters, and editors of news agencies and newspapers in 2024. Comrade Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee chaired the conference.
Attending the conference were Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam; representatives of the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Journalists Association; Organizing Committees of provincial and municipal Party Committees; Departments of Information and Communications of provinces.
In addition, attending the conference at 66 locations nationwide were more than 1,700 leaders, reporters, and editors in charge of Party building work from central and provincial news and press agencies.
At the Lao Cai provincial bridge, there were leaders of the Organizing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; the Department of Information and Communications; the Provincial Journalists Association; leaders and reporters of the provincial press agencies and a number of central press agencies stationed in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, emphasized: 2024 is the fourth year of implementing the Central Committee's resolutions, while actively preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. The work of Party building and rectification and the political system is facing new and higher requirements, requiring good implementation of the key tasks and solutions set forth by the 13th National Congress and the conferences of the Party Central Committee.
In the context of complicated and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting the distorted arguments of hostile forces; strengthening the people's trust and attachment to the Party and State; fighting against corruption and negativity and preventing, repelling and strictly handling cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle... is a very necessary requirement.
Organizing online conferences to foster knowledge on Party building helps leaders, reporters, and editors of news agencies and newspapers to supplement their knowledge, raise awareness, update new perspectives, and issues of concern in Party building work; foster skills in selecting topics, exploiting and processing information, and conveying experiences in creating works on Party building work and building the political system. Thereby, contributing to better information and propaganda work serving the leadership and direction of Party building work, associated with improving the quality of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award on Party building work.

At the conference, delegates listened to Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam impart useful knowledge related to protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting to remove bad and toxic information on cyberspace.


Along with that, experts discussed the following topics: New contents on Party building and political system work in the resolutions of the 13th Central Conference; Some issues on creating journalistic works in the political genre; Skills in creating radio and television works; Introducing the theme of creating journalistic works on Party building and the political system; New models, creative and effective ways in Party building work; Skills in creating journalistic photos.
In addition, reporters and editors listened to the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award-winning author groups share their experiences in creating high-quality works to participate in the award.
