Scientific workshop: Identifying the trend of crime and law violations on security and order moving to cyberspace

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga affirmed: Organizing the scientific workshop "Identifying the trend of crime and law violations on security and order shifting to cyberspace" at this time is extremely necessary, timely and of great significance.

The workshop will be a forum for managers, scientists, and experts to discuss and evaluate, helping to fully identify the situation and shifting trends of cybercrime in the current period, thereby finding solutions to improve the effectiveness of prevention and combating this type of crime.

This is also an opportunity for Tuyen Quang province to learn and acquire valuable experiences in preventing and combating crimes in general and cybercrime in particular, thereby identifying key tasks and appropriate solutions. The results of the workshop will clarify the scientific and practical basis for perfecting legal regulations, mechanisms and policies, and proposing effective solutions to combat crimes in cyberspace.

Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a paper at the scientific conference.

Presenting a paper at the workshop with the topic "Direction and management work of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee in identifying, preventing and combating crimes and law violations in cyberspace", Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son affirmed: In recent times, the province has effectively implemented socio-economic development policies combined with direction and management work to ensure security and order, especially in identifying, preventing and combating crimes and law violations.

In the coming time, Tuyen Quang province will continue to thoroughly grasp the guiding viewpoints, raise awareness and responsibility of agencies, units, and socio-political organizations at all levels in the province on the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations in cyberspace; enhance the application of scientific and technological achievements to innovate and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work to all subjects.

He suggested that the Provincial Police continue to promote their leading and core role in identifying and combating crimes and law violations in cyberspace; proactively grasp the situation and launch high-point attacks to suppress crimes and law violations in cyberspace. Arrange human and financial resources for identifying, preventing and combating crimes in cyberspace in accordance with the local situation and conditions.

At the workshop, delegates presented papers, focusing on identifying the shifting trends of crimes and violations of laws on security and order; the prevention and combat of the police force against crimes in cyberspace; analyzing the causes, conditions of occurrence, methods and tricks of crime; pointing out difficulties, limitations and shortcomings, on that basis proposing and recommending directions, tasks and solutions to identify and proactively prevent and effectively combat all types of crimes and violations of laws in cyberspace...

Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Theoretical Council of the Ministry of Public Security, delivered a closing speech at the workshop.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the workshop, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung emphasized that the world's cyber security situation continues to evolve in a complicated manner, posing difficulties and challenges in ensuring national security and sovereignty in cyberspace and preventing and combating high-tech crimes; the constant risks and challenges causing insecurity and disorder in cyberspace are increasingly complex and sophisticated, with an increasing tendency to exploit achievements in science and technology, artificial intelligence, and take advantage of newly arising issues to commit crimes.

He requested that functional units focus on perfecting theories on preventing and combating crimes in cyberspace to serve as a basis for innovating crime prevention work in line with new developments in the current crime situation. Improve the quality and effectiveness of research work, systematize the situation, promptly detect new problems from a distance, early, accurately identify new methods and tricks of hostile and reactionary forces, and types of crimes that violate national security and social order and safety in cyberspace.

Proactively detect loopholes and shortcomings in state management of cyber security, prevent high-tech crimes, promptly deploy programs and solutions to protect state secrets in cyberspace. Party committees and authorities at all levels strengthen propaganda and education to raise awareness among party members and people about ensuring cyber security, effectively combat the "Peaceful Evolution" strategy in cyberspace; mobilize the masses to participate in the movement of all people to protect national security, firmly consolidate the people's security posture in cyberspace.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung requested that, immediately after the workshop, relevant units urgently synthesize and recommend to the Politburo, the Party Central Committee, ministries, departments and central branches specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of identifying, preventing and combating crimes in cyberspace.
