In his report to the workshop, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that UNESCO's recognition of the traditional pottery art of the Cham people as an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection not only honors the value of the traditional craft but also affirms the cultural value of the community, of the joint efforts to preserve and maintain a unique art form in the face of challenges in the trend of integration and market economy. This recognition opens up opportunities for the pottery art of the Cham people to continue to exist and develop.
Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the workshop.

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the quality of the delegates' presentations, which contributed significantly to the success of the workshop. He hoped that scientists, managers, businessmen and the artisan community would continue to accompany the Ninh Thuan provincial government in the cause of preserving and promoting the pottery art of the Cham people so that Cham pottery could soon pass the emergency protection stage and move towards stable development. At the same time, effectively implement programs to develop Bau Truc pottery art in a sustainable manner, contributing to increasing the income of pottery villagers.
