The long-term cooperation program will focus on key areas: Strengthening community communication education to build hygiene habits to prevent diseases in children; Cooperating with medical staff to provide medical support for children; Supporting scientific research activities, conferences, seminars and dissemination of scientific knowledge related to infectious diseases in children.

The cooperation program is expected to be launched in 2023 with a series of activities such as accompanying hospitals across the country to implement free medical examination and treatment activities, promoting propaganda and education on how to recognize and care for children to prevent epidemics, especially diseases that are at risk of breaking out in the current seasonal transition such as flu, hand-foot-mouth disease, and instructions on proper hygiene care.

It is estimated that more than 15,000 sets of child care and hygiene handbooks and product sets will be delivered to mothers and babies across the country within the framework of the cooperation program. At the same time, the “Strong Vietnam” Fund will also be introduced within the framework of the program, providing opportunities for free health check-ups for children in remote areas, and supporting medical treatment for children in difficult circumstances. This is one of the major steps in the journey “For a healthy Vietnam” that Lifebuoy has deployed and implemented over the past 27 years.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien - Chairman of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, Director of the National Children's Hospital, the situation of infectious diseases caused by bacteria is becoming more complicated, not only the Covid-19 epidemic, the changing of seasons is a "golden opportunity" for bacteria to develop strongly. Therefore, this is an urgent time to raise awareness of hygiene and strengthen comprehensive health protection for children nationwide.
