(CLO) On the afternoon of January 15, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association and agencies and units in Quang Binh province, sponsors, and press agencies to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay, Sharing Love" in Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.
Attending and chairing the program were journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; representatives of departments and units under the Vietnam Journalists Association; leaders of the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association, representatives of departments and branches of Quang Binh province, leaders of Le Thuy district and families of policy beneficiaries, families of war invalids, martyrs and poor but studious students in the commune.
The program "Tet reunion, sharing love" was held in Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.
The activity is in response to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind" and towards meaningful activities "Tet for the poor" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, opening a series of activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association towards the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
At the program, on behalf of the delegation, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, presented 200 gifts (each gift included 500,000 VND in cash and 01 box of instant noodles) at Ban Chuon, Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district. These gifts were given directly to families with meritorious services, people with meritorious services; households in difficult circumstances, people with disabilities; poor students, students from ethnic minorities...

Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that the Vietnam Journalists Association was very pleased to have the opportunity to visit and give gifts to people in Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district.
" In 2024, the commune was one of the localities most severely affected by flash floods and forest floods at the end of October 2024. The Vietnam Journalists Association has called on agencies, businesses, and philanthropists to give gifts that are small in material value but are the feelings of Vietnamese journalists and agencies to the people. Hopefully, the gifts will contribute to helping people have more joy and welcome a warm Lunar New Year with their families," emphasized journalist Nguyen Duc Loi.

Mr. Ho Viet Tinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district (Quang Binh) sent his thanks to the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association and benefactors for their concern and support for people with meaningful gifts.
"It can be said that these are loving and warm gifts for the people of our commune on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year, thereby creating motivation and confidence for local people to quickly overcome all difficulties and stabilize their lives after the recent floods," Mr. Tinh added.
According to journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, the gifts, although small in material value, are the sentiments of Vietnamese journalists and businesses to the people.
Ms. Ho Thi Ly (59 years old, residing in Ban Chuon, Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district) is one of the poor households in the commune that was severely affected by storm No. 6 (2024).
"My family mainly does agriculture, the economy mainly depends on growing crops and raising livestock, but the recent storm has caused all the damage. On behalf of the people here, I would like to thank the Vietnam Journalists Association and the sponsors who have traveled far to bring us gifts, showing the spirit of "helping each other", helping and encouraging us materially and spiritually as Tet approaches," Ms. Ly expressed.
