Hanoi journalists had the opportunity to visit the Fishing Vessel Monitoring and Operation Center of the Ca Mau Border Guard Command. Here, the delegation witnessed the daily work of specialized officers, monitoring fishing activities at sea, promptly supporting boats and rescuing fishermen when there are incidents. This is also an effective measure to prevent illegal fishing activities, ensuring that boats operating in sovereign waters comply with the law.

The delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to many families with preferential policies, meritorious people, and presented scholarships to children from disadvantaged families and children in the programs "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of border guards" in Dat Mui and Tan An communes, Rach Goc town of Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau.

At the meeting, the Ca Mau Border Guard and the Hanoi Journalists Association agreed on plans to strengthen coordination in propaganda work on the activities of the Border Guard, the task of protecting territorial sovereignty and border security in the coming time.

The trip to Ca Mau also aims to summarize 10 years of solidarity in the tasks and work of the capital's journalism team and the Border Guard force stationed across the country.

Previously, the 54 square meter flag No. 77 lowered from the Hanoi Flagpole at Ca Mau Cape was presented by Dat Mui Border Guard Station (Ca Mau Border Guard) to the delegation of the Hanoi Journalists Association. The flag will be brought back to the capital, kept as a traditional souvenir, encouraging the capital's journalists to love their homeland's sea and sky more.
