Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association rewards members with outstanding achievements

(CLO) On the afternoon of December 10, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association held a conference to summarize its tasks for 2024. Journalist Nguyen Bao Lam, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association, chaired the conference.

The Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association currently has 241 members, operating in 5 branches and sub-branches including: Provincial Radio and Television Association; Thai Nguyen Newspaper Association, Literature and Arts Magazine and Information Center Association, Military Zone 1 Newspaper Association and Association Office Association. There are 3 affiliated clubs, including: Senior Journalists, Female Journalists, and Press Photography.

Over the past year, the Provincial Journalists Association has coordinated well with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications to organize 12 monthly press conferences, orienting propaganda work and handling press issues raised in the province; successfully organizing the 7th Provincial Journalists Association Congress, term 2024-2029.

Comrade Nguyen Quoc Thai, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Comrade Nguyen Bao Lam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, presented certificates of merit from the Provincial Journalists Association to individuals with outstanding achievements in 2024.

The Association also organized 3 field trips for over 80 members and journalists; organized 4 professional training courses with the following topics: "Podcast production skills"; training in journalism on Party building on digital platforms; filming skills, thinking and image processing of television and digital video works; training in "Using drones in journalism, ensuring compliance with laws and related regulations".

Having organized the 1st Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award of Thai Nguyen province - 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association (Standing Agency of the Award), the Organizing Committee of the Award proposed to award prizes to 37 works including: 04 A prizes, 07 B prizes, 11 C prizes, 15 Encouragement prizes, with a total prize value of 340,200,000 VND. Received and selected to send 13 works of central press agencies located in the area to participate in the Contest to bring the resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress into life. Reviewed and implemented support for high-quality press works in 2023 with 27 works...

Entering 2025, the Association plans to successfully organize the At Ty Spring Press Festival 2025 in conjunction with the Long Tong Festival (Dinh Hoa); effectively support high-quality press works in the 2021-2025 period; participate in professional activities, summarize the year's work, and other programs organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and emulation clusters; organize propaganda and activities towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

At the Conference, representatives of the federations and branches exchanged and shared many enthusiastic opinions to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of the association's work such as: Increasing in-depth training courses on modern journalism and specialized journalism; organizing practical cultural and sports activities for members; overcoming the situation of some members not being active in participating in the association's work; specific solutions to improve the quality of press works...

On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in association activities in 2024.
