On the afternoon of December 19, in Hanoi, the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to review the Party's inspection and supervision work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. General Secretary To Lam attended and directed the conference. The conference was held in person at the Central Party Hall, connecting online to the Central Inspection Commission, provincial Party Committees, municipal Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee.

Attending the conference at the Quang Ninh province bridge were comrade Bui Thuy Phuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and representatives of relevant units and localities.
According to the report at the Conference, in 2024, the Central Inspection Commission advised the Politburo and the Secretariat to continue to issue important regulations on inspection and supervision work. The Central Inspection Commission also issued guidelines on inspection and supervision work to serve party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; at the same time, submitted to the Politburo and the Secretariat 4 draft regulations on: Controlling assets and income of officials under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat; protecting whistleblowers, fighting corruption, waste, and negativity; declassifying information on inspection, supervision and discipline work of the Party; mechanisms for detecting, preventing and stopping violations by party organizations and party members.
The results of the Party's inspection, supervision and disciplinary enforcement tasks show that in 2024, Party committees at all levels inspected 55,075 Party organizations and 308,028 Party members (including 72,716 Party committee members, accounting for 23.61%). Local and unit Party committees inspected 55,055 Party organizations and 308,028 Party members. Through inspection, it was concluded that 1,709 Party organizations and 6,058 Party members had shortcomings and violations; 35 Party organizations and 189 Party members had to be disciplined; 7 Party organizations and 136 Party members were disciplined.
Party committees at all levels inspected 344 party organizations and 2,379 party members when there were signs of violations, including 785 committee members (accounting for 33%). Through inspection, it was concluded that 233 party organizations had violations, 98 party organizations had to be disciplined, 71 party organizations had been disciplined; 1,934 party members had violations, 1,326 party members had to be disciplined, 1,210 party members had been disciplined.
Inspection committees at all levels have inspected 3,133 party organizations and 8,123 party members when there were signs of violations, including 4,512 committee members (accounting for 55.6%). Through inspection, it was concluded that 2,228 party organizations and 6,685 party members had violated; 262 party organizations and 2,716 party members had to be disciplined; 191 party organizations and 2,345 party members were disciplined.
Inspection committees at all levels inspected the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks for 33,546 party organizations; of which the Central Inspection Committee inspected 24 party organizations; Inspection committees of localities and units inspected 33,522 organizations; concluded: 1,854 party organizations did not perform well the inspection and supervision tasks; 1,574 party organizations did not do well the leadership and direction of the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks and 518 party organizations did not have an inspection and supervision program.
In 2024, Party committees at all levels and Party cells disciplined 410 Party organizations and 17,562 Party members, including 3,246 Party committee members (accounting for 18.48%); of which: The Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat disciplined 26 Party organizations and 71 Party members. Inspection committees at all levels disciplined 299 Party organizations and 6,535 Party members, including 2,104 Party committee members (accounting for 32.2%), of which the Central Inspection Committee disciplined 172 Party organizations and 246 Party members.
In Quang Ninh, inspection and supervision work focuses on leadership, direction and organization of implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations, conclusions of the Party, laws of the State, prevention of corruption, negativity, waste and outstanding, urgent issues of public concern. In addition, supervision work continues to be strengthened. Through inspection and supervision, the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and problems arising in the process of organizing the implementation of resolutions have been correctly assessed. At the same time, the situation has been correctly identified and timely and effective leadership and direction measures have been taken, contributing to building and rectifying the Party and building a clean and strong political system from the province to the grassroots.
Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged and commended the achievements of Party committees and Inspection Commissions at all levels in recent times. At the same time, he pointed out the limitations in the current inspection, supervision and disciplinary work of the Party. The General Secretary requested Party committees and Inspection Commissions at all levels, especially the leaders, to further improve their awareness and responsibility for inspection and supervision work. Continue to strictly implement the regulations and guidelines of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Inspection Commission on inspection, supervision and party discipline. Timely review, amend, supplement and perfect the regulations, guidelines and procedures on inspection, supervision and disciplinary work of the Party, ensuring consistency, strictness and suitability with the new party organization model after the reorganization, meeting the requirements of the assigned tasks.
In addition, the Inspection Committees at all levels focus on personnel appraisal, thoroughly and properly resolve complaints and denunciations, first of all for party organizations and party members directly related to congress personnel; resolutely handle those who take advantage of the opportunity to rearrange and streamline the organization, apparatus, and congress organization to make false accusations, causing internal disunity.
Regarding personnel for party congresses at all levels, General Secretary To Lam requested that the Inspection Commissions at all levels focus on inspecting party organizations and party members when there are signs of violations; thoroughly resolve complaints and denunciations, especially complaints and denunciations related to personnel for the new congress before organizing the congress.
