According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, in the first 9 months of the year, the country's economy continued to recover, achieving important and quite comprehensive results in all fields. Production and business activities continued to change positively. As of September 30, the country had 881,229 enterprises in operation, an increase of 26,871 enterprises (3.15%) over the same period in 2022; 115,935 newly established enterprises, an increase of 3,602 enterprises (3.21%) over the same period; the number of enterprises resuming business was 23,260, an increase of 1,340 (6.11%) over the same period in 2022.
In the first 9 months of the year, the number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market reached 165,240, an increase of 1.2% over the same period in 2022 and 1.2 times higher than the average number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market in the period 2018 - 2022 (132,818 enterprises). In the third quarter of 2023 alone, the number of enterprises entering and re-entering the market was 59,559, the highest level in the third quarter ever, an increase of 18% over the same period in 2022 (50,459 enterprises); the number of enterprises returning to operation increased in 10/17 fields...

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State, thanked the efforts of the business community in the cause of national renewal and development. The Prime Minister highly appreciated the development steps of the business community. In particular, the Vietnamese business community is a fulcrum, inspiring and motivating people to live and work for a strong country and a prosperous life.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in the coming time, the Government will specify the Resolutions and action programs assigned to ministries, branches, and enterprises and entrepreneurs to develop in the right direction in the new period, determining the role, position, and importance; continue to maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, promote growth; maintain independence, sovereignty, and political stability so that entrepreneurs can focus on investment and development; create an investment environment and cooperation for development; at the same time, promote investment calling, human resource training, business administration, increase more capital sources; continue to promote improvement of the investment and business environment, legal support; reform administrative procedures; build a digital economy, digital government, digital citizens, etc. In addition, ministries, branches, and localities must review obstacles and resolve existing problems that hinder the activities of enterprises and entrepreneurs, etc.
