Conference to review Party building work in politics and ideology

(HTV) - On the morning of December 26, the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a conference to review the Party building work in terms of politics, ideology, and ethics in 2024, deploy tasks in 2025, and present State-level awards.

Attending the conference were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai; Standing Committee member, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue and leaders and former leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Conference Overview

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department will closely follow the annual work program and plan, and the arising work contents under the direction of the Central Committee and the City Party Committee; proactively deploy basic work contents to ensure progress and requirements; the quality of advisory work will be improved; timely issue documents guiding and orienting propaganda work areas for the grassroots. Coordination with the city's departments, branches and sectors in the field of science and education will be strengthened.

The work of advising on preliminary and final reviews, the work of implementing and studying the directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, the City Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has been carried out closely, effectively and with quality. The quality of leadership and direction of the press and publishing has been increasingly improved.

The city's press agencies basically follow the direction and orientation of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, especially on prominent issues; implement information discipline well; and manage reporters and editors using social networks well. The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting and refuting the wrong views of hostile forces is increasingly becoming more systematic.

Regular and ad hoc tasks under the direction of the Central Committee and the Steering Committee 35 of the City Party Committee have been well implemented. Effectively organize and implement the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in conjunction with Party building and rectification. Effectively implement Regulation No. 144-QD/TW dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period and regulations on setting an example for cadres and party members, especially leaders, managers and heads.

Concluding the conference, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue said that in 2025, the growth momentum of the City will continue to be maintained but will continue to face many challenges. This is also a year with many major holidays and important events of the country and the City. The City's propaganda sector needs to focus on accelerating the consultation for the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and guiding Party committees at all levels to review and summarize the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. Summarize the implementation of Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and streamline the organization and apparatus of the system, streamline politics, and operate effectively and efficiently for the Propaganda Department and the Mass Mobilization Department of Party committees at all levels.

In 2025, the City's growth momentum is maintained but faces many challenges.

At the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai awarded the First Class Labor Medal of the President to Mr. Pham Duc Hai - former Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, former Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

On this occasion, the Central Propaganda Department awarded Certificates of Merit to one collective and two individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 collectives that excellently completed their tasks.
