Conference to review Resolution No. 06 of the Provincial Party Committee (term XIV) on tourism development to 2025, with a vision to 2030

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that tourism is a comprehensive economic sector, with inter-sectoral, inter-regional and highly internationally integrated characteristics . Tourism not only makes an important contribution to socio-economic development but also has profound cultural and social factors. In the strategic development orientation of Binh Thuan province , tourism is a spearhead economic sector and one of the three economic pillars of the province. To achieve that goal, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution 06 on tourism development to 2025, with a vision to 2030. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested delegates to promote a sense of responsibility, thoroughly evaluate the achieved results , point out the limitations and shortcomings, and at the same time draw lessons, propose tasks and solutions to continue to focus on better implementing the Resolution in the coming time.

Accordingly, after 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 06, the awareness of all levels, sectors, cadres and people about the role of the tourism industry has been raised, there have been efforts and determination to develop the province's tourism industry quite comprehensively and effectively . Binh Thuan tourism has gradually recovered with strong changes in many aspects , tourism indicators have had stable growth, achieving the set plan. It is estimated that in 2023, Binh Thuan will welcome about 8.3 million visitors, of which international visitors will reach about 220,000, domestic visitors will reach about 8.080 million; total revenue from tourists will be about 19,500 billion VND. Tourism GRDP will reach 9,750 billion VND, accounting for 9.11% of the province 's total GRDP . Binh Thuan is in the top 10 provinces with tourism revenue of over 10 trillion VND. The number of tourists to the province increased by an average of 16.28% per year, of which international visitors increased by an average of 2.07 times per year; domestic visitors increased by an average of 14.8% per year. Total revenue from tourists increased by an average of 16.56% per year. In particular, in 2023 , Binh Thuan is the host locality to organize the National Tourism Year 2023 with the theme "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" . The successful organization of the Opening Ceremony and activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" is a great opportunity for Binh Thuan tourism to become a bright spot in the development of tourism in the Central region and the whole country in the coming time.

In addition to the achieved results, the tourism industry still has limitations and difficulties such as: infrastructure for tourism development is still limited. Attracting investment in tourism complex projects, high-end resorts associated with entertainment, recreation, trade, service, and sports tourism is not strong; awareness of some people participating in tourism services about sustainable tourism development is still limited. Tourism human resources are still lacking in quantity and quality; although tourism products have improved, they have not created a breakthrough, and have not had a strong attraction for tourists....
