From September 14 to 17, the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians will take place in Hanoi, hosted by the Vietnamese National Assembly. Attending the conference are young parliamentarians and 20 outstanding young people of Vietnam.
On the eve of the conference, outstanding youth delegates expressed their wishes and responsibilities in developing the country and contributing to the countries in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Building markets for Vietnamese agricultural products
Mr. Dang Duong Minh Hoang (35 years old) graduated with a master's degree in automatic control in France. He is currently the Director of Thien Nong Farm (Binh Phuoc), Director of Binh Phuoc Digital Agricultural Service Cooperative, and Head of the Luong Dinh Cua Network nationwide.

He has won many awards such as: "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer 2022" by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association; "Choose France, choose success" in 2022 by the French Consulate General to honor former Vietnamese students returning from France and succeeding in the field of sustainable agriculture; "Sustainable agriculture and food security" for the Mekong sub-region countries organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2022. He is also "Promising Young Vietnamese Face 2022" awarded by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
As a representative in the field of innovation and startups participating in the conference, Mr. Hoang said he was honored and lucky, because through it he could spread beautiful images and stories about the country and people of Vietnam. "Through thematic discussions, we hope to build a market for Vietnamese agricultural products; connect and receive technology transfer from advanced countries, applying them appropriately to Vietnam's model. From there, we will form a network to consume Vietnamese agricultural products and Vietnamese cuisine abroad, as well as commercialize good stories about Vietnamese agricultural products," Mr. Hoang shared.
According to Mr. Hoang, the theme "The role of youth in promoting the implementation of sustainable development goals through digital transformation and innovation" of the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians demonstrated the vision of the IPU and the Vietnamese National Assembly in providing the right directions for sustainable development.
As the Chairman of the National Luong Dinh Cua Network, Mr. Hoang hopes to gather outstanding young people in agricultural production and business in many fields and countries (through young parliamentarians of the IPU) to help farmers create chain links and apply technology to agriculture to increase the value and competitiveness of agricultural products of IPU member countries.
"After the conference, I expect that the countries participating in the IPU need to have policies to support farmers, especially young farmers, to apply information technology to agricultural production, especially applying a common electronic diary platform among countries. On a macro level, popularizing the use of electronic diaries for farmers helps countries systematize data, proactively connect supply and demand, cross-border e-commerce; build a connection chain between farmers and the final purchasing channel, reduce intermediaries, which will certainly bring stability to the products of the countries," Mr. Hoang expected.

To let the young generation develop their full potential
Mr. Vu Gia Luyen (36 years old) is the founder of International Information Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company (ITS). He has won many prestigious awards such as: "Top 10 outstanding young entrepreneurs" 2021; "Sao Khue" 2021; "Smart City" 2021; "Outstanding digital transformation product - Digital Award" 2019, 2021; "Outstanding young Vietnamese face" 2021.
As a representative in the field of digital transformation attending the conference, Mr. Luyen said that this is a source of pride and also a great responsibility. "I hope to bring valuable contributions to the conference on the goals of digital transformation and innovation, thereby bringing success to the goal of sustainable development," said Mr. Luyen.
According to Mr. Luyen, the conference theme has shown the importance of young people to our world. "In recent years, concepts such as the 4.0 industrial revolution, digital transformation or sustainable development goals have been mentioned a lot in the media and have really come into life. We need to clarify that the future of the world must be sustainable development, sustainable to protect the living environment and sustainable to protect future generations. To realize the global goals called for by the UN, digital transformation in particular and the 4.0 industrial revolution in general need to be carried out thoroughly and deeply in all areas," Mr. Luyen shared.
As a representative of Vietnamese youth, Mr. Luyen hopes to bring to this conference a message about the aspirations of our country's young generation for digital transformation, as well as the UN's sustainable development goals. "The young generation of Vietnam is very passionate and creative. They have been an important part of the digital transformation and will continue to play a big role in the sustainable development of the world. I hope the conference will gather the opinions and thoughts of the young generation towards sustainable development goals, through digital transformation and innovation. From there, we can properly assess the importance of the young generation and orient the young generation to be able to fully develop their capacity and contribute to the success of the global goals," Mr. Luyen expressed.
