On July 12, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 4th Executive Committee meeting, term XVII, term 2023 - 2028, to review the Union's work in the first 6 months of the year, deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, and summarize Workers' Month and Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene in 2024.

In the first 6 months of the year, the activities of the Trade Unions at all levels in the province continued to change and achieved many positive results in all aspects of work. The Trade Unions at all levels coordinated with the relevant authorities to inspect and supervise the implementation of policies for employees at 264 units and enterprises; chaired and participated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the same level to supervise 12 units and enterprises on the signing and implementation of labor contracts and democratic regulations at the workplace.
In the past 6 months, the province has had 49 collective labor agreements amended, supplemented, re-signed and newly signed with more favorable contents for workers than those prescribed by law; many units have signed cooperation agreements on implementing welfare programs for union members and workers.
During the Lunar New Year, the Trade Unions at all levels organized many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. From the Union's financial resources and other legal sources, the Trade Unions at all levels spent over 59.1 billion VND to care for over 148,100 union members and workers. The Provincial Federation of Labor implemented the program "2024 Trade Union Tet Market" through the e-commerce trading floor, attracting over 1,600 union members to participate; supported over 100 million VND for union members and workers whose working hours were reduced or their labor contracts were terminated due to a decrease in orders from businesses.
During Workers' Month, the Trade Unions at all levels supported over 4,500 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances who suffered work-related accidents or illnesses, with a total amount of over 1.8 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor supported the construction and repair of 11 "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances, and repaired 3 public houses for a number of units in the province; disbursed loans from the "Capital Support Fund for Union Members" for 11 economic development projects of union members; coordinated with the Department of Health to organize the "Health Care Festival for Union Members and Workers" in 2024 with a total budget of over 7 billion VND.
In the first 6 months of the year, the province has established 38 new grassroots trade unions, recruiting over 7,600 union members. Emulation movements to implement the Resolutions of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels and the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union have been widely deployed from the province to the grassroots. Trade unions at all levels have done a good job of propagating and mobilizing cadres and union members to participate in the online contest "Resolution of the Trade Union Congress and actions of union members and workers"; as a result, Phu Tho province ranked 9th in the national rankings with over 27,900 union members registering to participate in the contest.

In the last 6 months of the year, the Trade Union at all levels continued to implement activities to ensure the proposed program and plan; proactively grasp the situation, coordinate and participate in promptly resolving issues arising in labor relations, contributing to stabilizing production for enterprises, ensuring jobs and income for workers and ensuring security and order in the province; at the same time, promoting patriotic emulation movements, activities to care for the practical interests of union members and workers...
At the conference, delegates discussed and shared the advantages and difficulties in implementing trade union activities at the grassroots level, and contributed ideas to improve the effectiveness of trade union work in the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in organizing Workers' Month activities in 2024.
