To date, the province has 5/7 district and city level associations and 17/65 commune, ward and town level associations, with a total of 858 members. Associations at all levels have mobilized more than 4.7 billion VND to give gifts, support cows, award scholarships, provide medical examination and treatment, and build 7 charity houses for families with housing difficulties.
With the motto "Solidarity, affection, responsibility for Agent Orange victims", in the 2023-2028 term, the association continues to innovate, proactively coordinate with functional sectors and localities to mobilize resources to care for and help victims; strengthen the association's organization to meet the requirements of the task, promote the role of companionship, sharing, and joining hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange.
Lieutenant General Dang Nam Dien, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, term IV, 2023-2028.
Speaking at the congress, Lieutenant General Dang Nam Dien acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the association in the past term. In the coming time, he suggested that the association continue to unite, innovate its methods of operation; actively advise the Party Committee and the government to resolve issues related to the rights of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims. Actively implement emulation movements, diversify forms of mobilization, and build the Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims Fund.
Speaking at the congress, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming term, all levels of the association in the province continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; do a good job of advising, proposing and mobilizing social resources to care for and help Agent Orange victims reduce difficulties, improve their lives and integrate into the community.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, term IV, 2023-2028, consisting of 15 members. Ms. Do Thi Bich Lien was elected as President of the Association.
At the congress, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 8 individuals who made positive contributions to the emulation movement "For victims of Agent Orange, period 2018-2023"; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 individuals with achievements in supporting and helping victims of Agent Orange, period 2018-2023.
