Provincial Women's Union promotes environmental protection

On the morning of September 25, the Provincial Women's Union organized a communication campaign about the Green Living Women model, waste classification, plastic waste reduction, and organic waste treatment at households for more than 80 women's union members of Khanh Cuong commune (Yen Khanh district).

The Green Living Women model, launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, has been implemented by the Provincial Women's Union in recent years. The model is implemented in conjunction with the criteria of movements such as: building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's, clean house and beautiful garden, environmental sanitation activities, building tree paths and flower paths for women; preventing and combating plastic waste...

At the conference, officials of the Provincial Women's Union instructed women members of Khanh Cuong commune on how to classify household waste, reduce plastic waste and process organic waste at home.

Thereby, it aims to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, women's union members and people in waste treatment, reduce environmental pollution, improve waste reuse and recycling activities, contribute to protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment; maintain environmental criteria in new rural construction.
