Hoi An, Ninh Binh, Phong Nha... are the friendliest destinations

Booking.com, a digital travel platform that connects travelers with travel services, has just announced the ranking of the 10 friendliest destinations in Vietnam under the framework of the Traveller Review Awards.

This award is based on verified reviews from travelers and only those who have booked and experienced the hotel are eligible to participate in the review.

Hoi An, Phong Nha and Ninh Binh continue to be the top 3 destinations in terms of hospitality in Vietnam in 2024. Compared to last year, these positions in the ranking only changed in order, in which Hoi An and Phong Nha (Quang Binh) changed places.

The next positions are Cao Bang, Phu Quoc, Ha Giang, Ha Long, Da Lat, Tuy Hoa and Nha Trang.

Traveller Review Award 2024 is an award that recognizes the efforts to provide excellent services and attentive service of 1.48 million travel partners spanning 221 countries and territories, including 11,360 accommodations in Vietnam, based on 309 million authentic reviews from travelers.

According to Booking.com, this year’s list of friendly destinations ranges from accommodations located on beautiful beaches to peaceful mountain retreats, so the hospitality ratings are quite comprehensive.

In recent years, tourists have tended to seek alternative accommodation types to the traditional hotel model. In Vietnam, this trend is reflected in the fact that 4 out of the 5 most awarded accommodation types in 2024 are unique types of accommodation.

Hotels remain the most awarded accommodation type in 2024 with 4,671 certified partners, followed by rental apartments (2,199 partners), homestays (1,468 partners), aparthotels - luxury resort apartments (510 partners) and finally motels (429 partners).

The diversity and popularity of accommodation options besides traditional hotels in recent years in Vietnam has shown that tourists are increasingly appreciating the diversity of accommodation types.

To be certified with the Traveller Review Awards, accommodation partners must have an average review score of 8/10 or higher with 3 or more reviews as of 23:59 on 30-11-2023.
