During the working trip to Japan, the delegation of the Vietnam Women's Academy led by Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, President of the Academy Council, had important working sessions with 3 universities in Tokyo: Jissen Women's University, Showa Women's University, and Ochanomizu University.
The visit not only opens up opportunities for international educational cooperation but also demonstrates the determination of the Vietnam Women's Academy in improving the quality of training and developing human resources, especially women.
Jissen Women's University is one of the oldest and most prestigious women's universities in Japan. Currently, the school has more than 5,000 undergraduate students and 1,000 high school students studying in more than 10 different majors. Every year, the school also welcomes many short-term and long-term exchange students from countries in the region and around the world to study.

At the meeting with the school, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh and representatives of Jissen Women's University discussed future cooperation opportunities, especially the exchange of lecturers and students between the two schools. Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh expressed her hope that in the coming time, lecturers and students of the Vietnam Women's Academy will have more opportunities to learn and exchange experiences with Jissen Women's University.
Both sides agreed that expanding educational cooperation between the two schools would positively contribute to improving training quality, especially in the field of female human resource development.
Showa Women's University has an impressive history of development with more than 100 years of operation. Currently, the school has about 6,000 undergraduate students and 150 graduate students, along with 150 international students from many different countries.

Showa Women's University prides itself on its motto of creating a globalized educational environment where students from many countries can exchange knowledge and experience. For 12 consecutive years, the school has been recognized as one of the top women's universities in Japan in terms of the rate of students finding jobs after graduation. With similar missions and development goals, comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh and members of the delegation expressed their impression of these achievements and hoped that in the future, the Vietnam Women's Academy and Showa Women's University will have more opportunities for cooperation, especially in the exchange of students and lecturers, as well as joint research activities.
Ochanomizu University To be One of the oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions in Japan, especially in the field of women's education. Founded in 1875, Ochanomizu University prides itself on being the first university for women in Japan and has educated many generations of the country's famous female leaders.
Welcoming the delegation, Ms. Ishii-Kuntz Masako - Vice Principal of the school and staff of the Global Education Department had in-depth discussions on the history of development and strategic directions of the school in the future. In particular, in 2025, the school will celebrate its 150th anniversary, marking a long and proud journey in developing and improving the quality of education for women in Japan.

Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh and members of the delegation also shared more about the development history, mission, and vision of the Vietnam Women's Academy as well as the practical activities of the Academy in training, fostering, researching and cooperating to promote the development of high-quality human resources, meeting the needs of the social community, especially the contributions to improving the quality of training female human resources, contributing to realizing the goal of promoting gender equality for a civilized and progressive society.
The meeting brought about good results as the two sides are expected to sign a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding in the third quarter, opening up many opportunities for cooperation in academic and research exchanges between lecturers, researchers, and students of the two schools.
