8th grade student wins special prize in stamp collection contest about Dien Bien Phu Victory

According to Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Director of the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Children, Le Anh Quan, the fact that the Contest attracted a large number of entries shows that it has become a large forum for children to confidently express their understanding of the Dien Bien Phu Victory as well as their gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who did not hesitate to sacrifice their blood and bones for the independence of the nation.

Assessing the quality of the entries, comrade Le Anh Quan said: this year, there were many entries of good quality, elaborately presented with many creative ideas, rich content, vivid form, close to the topic, many works used rare and precious stamps.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 45 individual prizes including 1 special prize, 2 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes. Of which, the special prize went to contestant Dang Le Gia Nhi, class 8/3, Kim Dong Secondary School (Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province).

Along with that, the Organizing Committee awarded 25 collective prizes to the units with the largest number of entries and many entries winning high prizes. Of these, 5 collective A prizes went to the Youth Union Councils of Quang Nam, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Nam Dinh provinces and Hai Phong city.

The contest is a practical activity organized by the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Children in coordination with the Vietnam Post Corporation and the Vietnam Stamp Association on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
