Despite the cold and rainy weather, the students were enthusiastic in performing and cheering each other on. Vu Mai Phuong, a student of class 11N1 at Phan Huy Chu High School, said her team had practiced singing for a month to properly express the solemn spirit of the song "Praise to President Ho".
"We practice every afternoon so we're quite tired, but attending the festival and winning first place in the region is the best spiritual gift," Phuong shared.
Nguyen Diep Thu Ha, a 5C student at Trung Yen Primary School, also said she was both tired and happy. She was one of many students who participated in the Mashup performance "Songs for the Party", which brought first prize to Cau Giay District.
The show also has many other performances such as "Beloved Fatherland" (students of Hoan Kiem district), Medley "Proudly marching under the Party flag - Vietnam aspires to be strong" (Hoan Kiem - Hai Ba Trung)...

This is the first time the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has organized a choir festival for students in the city. The event has the theme "Forever resounding songs dedicated to the Party", celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital and the establishment of the Hanoi education sector.
After the school round, then the district, county and city rounds, the final round took place over three days from January 12-14 with thousands of students from 49 schools. The best and first prize winning performances were performed at the Son Tay Citadel (January 20) and the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street.
The Department of Education and Training said that the event was held on a walking street - a public cultural space - to spread the meaning of the competition, helping people easily enjoy and access the excellent performances of the students. The performances were all carefully prepared, elaborately staged with diverse colors and high artistic quality.
This is also a practical activity, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of students, creating a competitive atmosphere among schools in the capital.
