Ha Nam students enthusiastically participate in the 2024 recruitment and job placement fair

Before the 2024 career counseling, enrollment and job placement festival, College of Radio and Television I had a plan to prepare very early.

The Party Committee and the School Board of Directors determined that this was a good opportunity to widely inform and promote to students and parents about the school's training majors and professions, career orientation and employment for students, helping the school complete its enrollment and training targets in the 2024-2025 school year.

In fact, in recent years, vocationaleducation activities have not only operated alone but also had to be linked with the labor market, businesses and employment service centers.

Improving the quality of vocational education and linking training with businesses is considered the core goal of vocational education institutions to increase the rate of workers with jobs after training.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Vice Principal in charge of College of Radio and Television I said: “To attend the Career Counseling, Enrollment and Employment Day this year, we have had a very elaborate and thorough preparation plan with the desire to implement highly effective counseling and enrollment promotion activities.

This is an opportunity for us to directly and fully introduce to students, parents and employees the school's potential, strengths, professions, training scale and admission methods.

Mr. Dang Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Nam province, said that currently, the province has 19 vocational education facilities including: 6 colleges, 5 intermediate schools, 5 vocational education - continuing education centers, and 3 other vocational education facilities.

Mr. Dang Xuan Hai delivered the opening speech of the Festival.

In 2023, vocational training institutions recruited and trained 20,800 people, reaching 100% of the set plan, with over 95% of secondary and college students having jobs immediately after graduation with an average income of 6 to 10 million VND/month.

Besides, in many professions, 100% of graduates have jobs immediately with high income, tens of millions of VND/month.

The rate of secondary school graduates continuing to study at vocational education institutions is about 36.5%, and the rate of high school graduates continuing to study at vocational education institutions is about 18%.

The whole province has created new jobs for 28,494 people (114% of the plan), of which 1,301 people were exported; and created additional jobs for 25,240 people.

With many unique, meaningful and lively activities, the Festival brings students and parents useful information about admission policies, choosing majors and choosing schools before this year's admission season.

The organizers presented flowers and souvenir flags to participating units.

At their booths, vocational education institutions organize career counseling and orientation activities directly for high school and junior high school students.

Enterprises and provincial employment service centers organize consultation, interviews, and direct recruitment of final year students of vocational training institutions, youth, and workers.

Nguyen Phuong Lan (student of Binh Luc A High School, Ha Nam) shared: “At the booth of the College of Radio and Television I, I was very carefully consulted by the teachers about the training majors of the school, I was also very impressed with the system of modern equipment and cameras of the school. I have decided to register for the Journalism - Communication major and hope to experience 2 years of studying here”.

The career counseling, enrollment and job placement program was organized by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Nam at an important time to help candidates thoroughly understand the high school graduation exam and update the latest enrollment information from vocational training institutions.

At the same time, the program also answers questions about choosing a major and career in the future. Preparing early for exams and strategizing to choose majors that match your interests and strengths will increase the chances of candidates achieving their goals this year.

The festival contributes to connecting and strongly promoting cooperation between vocational training institutions and businesses to change the awareness of the community, students, parents, youth, and workers about vocational training associated with the actual needs of businesses and job opportunities in the province.
