Lo Ren route (through Hiep Thanh commune, Bac Lieu city) was completed and put into use, helping to develop the local socio-economy and ensure traffic safety.

These two routes belong to the Vietnam Urban Expansion and Upgrade Project - WB loan, Bac Lieu City Sub-project, invested by Bac Lieu City People's Committee.

"The completion and putting into use of the above two routes will contribute to the development of infrastructure, improve the quality of criteria for building a type I urban area and gradually modernize it, opening up a new development direction for Bac Lieu city in the future.

Especially creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to travel, ensuring traffic safety, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025, gradually beautifying the city in the direction of green - clean - beautiful", Mr. Hien shared more.

According to the People's Committee of Bac Lieu city, the BL-PW-2-3 package (construction of Lo Ren road, Bac Lieu city) is built in Ward 5 and Hiep Thanh commune of Bac Lieu city (Bac Lieu province), starting in April 2022, completed in 2024.

The package is divided into 2 sections: section 1 is a collector road, designed speed 50km/h, roadbed width 13m, length over 3.1km, design load 100KN (equivalent to 10 tons).

Section 2, grade IV road, design speed 60km/h, roadbed width 10m, length over 2.8km, design load 100KN (equivalent to 10 tons). Total investment over 180 billion VND.

The completion of Lo Ren and Bo Tay roads will help develop infrastructure, improve the criteria for building a type I urban area and gradually modernize it, helping to reduce the load on Cao Van Lau road in the inner city of Bac Lieu.

The BL-PW-2-1 package (construction of the West Bank Road, now Ngo Quyen Road) starts from Hamlet 5, Ward 2, Bac Lieu City, running along the 30/4 Canal, towards Nha Mat Ward, with a value of more than 141.8 billion VND.

The West Coast Road is nearly 6km long, 7m wide, and 4m wide on each side. Construction started on January 27, 2022 and will be completed in 2024. When completed, the West Coast Road will strengthen connectivity for Bac Lieu city to continue to develop, especially tourism development.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (residing in Ward 5, Bac Lieu City) said that the completion of Lo Ren Road has made people here very excited because traveling and trading are more convenient, ensuring traffic safety, and there is no more flooding or mud like before.

Mr. Tran Anh Kiet (residing in Ward 2, Bac Lieu City) shared: "Previously, the Bo Tay road was narrow, making it difficult for people to travel, and was often flooded during heavy rains and high tides. Now the road has been upgraded and widened to help people travel safely and conveniently, without having to worry about falling off their bikes every time it rains."
