Hoai Thu (born in 1984) is an actress at the Thai Binh Cheo Theater, one of the "four great beauties" with golden voices of Thai Binh Cheo, along with Thanh Tram, Van Quyen, and An Chinh. Possessing a beautiful appearance and a sweet voice, at the age of 15, Hoai Thu joined the Thai Binh Cheo Troupe, then studied in the elementary Cheo class in 1999-2000. About a year later, seeing that Hoai Thu sang well and acted quite well, the theater assigned her the role of Thi Mau in the play Quan Am Thi Kinh , participating in the National Professional Cheo Theater Festival in Quang Ninh . The festival had many famous names in the Cheo village such as Van Chuong, Ngoc Anh, Minh Phuong... As a result, Hoai Thu won 4 awards: Gold Medal; Excellent Actress; The Stage Artists Association awarded the Young Talent Award; The best actress of the 2001 festival. After the success of the Quang Ninh festival, at the age of 17, Hoai Thu was invited to participate in VTV's television program For fans. Working at the Thai Binh Cheo Troupe until 2005, in 2006, Hoai Thu transferred to work at the Youth Theater as an actress of the People's Artist Lan Huong's Physical Drama Troupe (Lan Huong "Bong"). In 2013, when she had just given birth to a son for 5 months, and was still on leave from the Youth Theater, Hoai Thu was asked by Meritorious Artist Minh Vuong to play the role of Trung Trac in the play Chien Thang Me Linh so that People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui (at that time, Director of the Hanoi Cheo Theater) could take her to the festival. Although she had been away from the Cheo stage for 10 years and was busy taking care of her young child, when People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui gave her the script and invited her to see the play, Hoai Thu accepted because her "professional passion" was boiling inside her. In the end, the play that year was a great success. Since then, all the plays in which Hoai Thu participated have been the main roles and have won gold medals. Up to now, Hoai Thu has won 1 international silver cup, 6 gold medals; 1 silver medal, 3 Best Actress awards. Hoai Thu's outstanding roles include My Duyen in Canh Chim Trang Trong Dem , Truong Phu Nhan in Chuyen Tinh Tren Ben Nam Xang , Dang Thuy Hanh in Nang Thu Phi Ho Dang , Kieu Loan in Kieu Loan , Mo Ba in Canh Dieu Lang Vu Dai, Thanh Hoa in the play Kiep Nguoi Can Che Vo ... In 2015, Hoai Thu was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist when she turned 31 and became the youngest artist to be awarded this title. In addition to acting, Meritorious Artist Hoai Thu has also achieved success as a director. At the 2022 National Cheo Festival, the play Linh Tu Quoc Mau directed by her won the Best Play award; and Hoai Thu won the award for Best Director .

If Hoai Thu is beautiful, talented and young, her husband - People's Artist Le Hung - Former Director of the Youth Theater - is a playboy and famous artist in the theater. Le Hung is considered the "godfather" of the Northern theater industry, one of the most talented and successful theater directors in Vietnam. When he was still "making waves" on the stage, Le Hung once shared: "I am a cunning, sly old wolf of the theater. And also evil". Le Hung was born in 1952 in a family with an artistic tradition. From a young age, the male artist soon revealed his natural acting ability and passion for being a theater director. At the age of 8, Le Hung was able to perform solo, transforming into different characters. Later, he studied acting at the Vietnam Theater School (now the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema). After graduating, Le Hung and his classmates such as Meritorious Artist Tat Binh, People's Artist Tien Dat, Meritorious Artist Bang Thai... became actors of the Quang Ninh Drama Troupe, then joined the army and fought directly on the battlefield. In 1975, Le Hung returned to become an actor of the Army Drama Theater. In 1978, he was one of the first artists to lay the foundation for the Youth Theater. He is a descendant of the theater family, a descendant of artist Le Van Khuc. At a time when output was stagnant, the Northern theater stage was no longer lit up every night, Le Hung became the most mentioned name with his talent, "magical tricks" like an "old wolf", like a "magician" of the stage. He was awarded a gold medal for his role as Ly Tu Trong (in 1982). After being sent to study at the Moscow State University of Theatre (GITIS), he was one of the few directors who renewed the Northern stage in the 90s. With "decisive, intelligent, talented and professional staging" (according to the assessment of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai), Le Hung has produced about 300 plays, and was awarded the title of best director at national festivals 5 times in a row. In addition, he also won many awards at international art festivals. Le Hung once shared: "I always think that luckily having a little talent, combined with tireless artistic work, has helped me get to where I am today. That's what I say, but sometimes the pressure is terrible". In 2007, because of his many contributions to the country's art, director Le Hung was awarded the title of People's Artist.

After his first wife passed away in 1998, Le Hung experienced many ups and downs in his love life with beautiful women but finally found the most beautiful flower of the Vietnamese Cheo village. In 2006, Hoai Thu became the official wife of People's Artist Le Hung. The talented director once proudly said: "This will be the final "destination" of my life". Falling in love and marrying People's Artist Le Hung, Hoai Thu had to face a lot of pressure when her family objected, her friends prevented, and her neighbors gossiped... However, after living together for more than 10 years and having 3 children, the couple has proven to everyone a truth about love that many people do not believe in: "Love has no distance and does not discriminate by age". "I don't care who Hung loved or what he did before. What I care about is how he lives with me now and treats me", Hoai Thu once shared.

She and her husband respect each other very much. She respects her husband's hobbies of collecting watches, raising birds and ornamental fish, and he also respects her youthful way of dressing and applying makeup. People's Artist Le Hung also shared in an interview that he does not buy branded gifts for his wife, does not take her on trips here and there often, even though he earns a lot of money.
