The conflict between the Miss Grand International Organization (MGI) and the Miss Grand Cambodia Organization broke out on the evening of October 6. Mr. Nawat, Chairman of MGI, criticized the organization in Cambodia, leading to the event being moved to Thailand.

He felt uneasy from the start because there was no local staff to welcome him, many plans such as the red carpet and folk dance did not go as expected. Although he had to pay for the airfare and hotel for the contestants to return to Thailand, Mr. Nawat still accepted to protect the reputation of the brand. MGI announced the cancellation of Cambodia's hosting status.

The Cambodian side also held a press conference, attended by the country director of Cambodia - Ms. Sokunthea Im and Miss Grand Cambodia - Sotheary Bee. Ms. Sokunthea affirmed that Mr. Nawat, Chairman of MGI, had made false statements and explained many noisy incidents, leading to the inability of the two sides to cooperate. Miss Cambodia - Sotheary Bee - also withdrew from the contest.

When asked about the conflict between MGI and Miss Grand Cambodia, Que Anh said that before the official competition took place, the organizers sent a tentative itinerary to the two countries. Although a bit confused, she and the contestants quickly prepared their belongings and moved. They brought an essential suitcase to Thailand, while the remaining luggage would be sent later. She felt lucky that everything went smoothly.

Regarding the decision to cancel Cambodia's hosting status, Que Anh shared that she is not the one who knows the issues between the organizations so she does not dare to make an opinion. According to Que Anh, MGI is very close in managing the contestants so she did not encounter any obstacles during the competition.

When asked about the withdrawal of contestants due to the change of venue, Que Anh said that she and the beauties cooperated with the organizers to adapt to the new schedule. Although one representative encountered difficulties and withdrew, the remaining contestants did not encounter any major problems.
