Miss Universe Panama stripped of crown

(Dan Tri) - A few days after being asked to leave the Miss Universe 2024 contest, Panamanian-Italian beauty Johan Mora was stripped of the title of Miss Universe Panama 2024.

According to Hola!, the Miss Universe Panama organization has announced that it has stripped Italian beauty Johan Mora of her title after the Miss Universe 2024 Organizing Committee asked her to withdraw from the competition early.

"Failure to comply with the regulations communicated to each contestant by the Miss Universe organization resulted in the disqualification of our representative. The Miss Universe Panama Organization always prioritizes the integrity of its contestants.

However, due to the contestant's continued breach of contract with the national organization, we regretfully announce the official revocation of the title of Miss Universe Panama of Italy Johan Mora," the Miss Panama organization said.

Following the announcement, images of Italy's Johan Mora were removed from the social media accounts of the Miss Panama and Miss Universe Panama organizations. The organizations also unfollowed her on Instagram.

The Miss Panama organization said it will continue to work with the Miss Universe organization to select a new representative for the competition in the 2025 season.

Previously, the Miss Universe organization announced that Italian beauty Johan Mora withdrew from the Miss Universe 2024 contest taking place in Mexico.

"The Miss Universe Organization regrets to announce the withdrawal of Miss Panama from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. This decision was made after a thorough evaluation by our disciplinary committee," the statement said.

After this decision, the Panamanian beauty left Mexico and returned home. She shared about the incident: "I was informed that I violated the rules of leaving the room. The reason for leaving the room was to put on makeup and get some personal belongings. I believed and followed the instructions without thinking about the consequences."

The beauty believes that the decision of the Miss Universe organization is very strict and everything can be resolved through discussion. She expressed her disappointment because all the hard work and preparation of herself and her team has been completely ruined.

However, according to some sources on social networks, the reason the Panamanian beauty had to return home early was a conflict between her and her roommate, the representative of the Dominican Republic.

Before entering the Miss Universe 2024 competition, Italian beauty Johan Mora was expected by domestic audiences to achieve high results in this year's competition. The 19-year-old beauty is 1.77m tall and is a famous model in her home country. Despite her young age, the beauty is considered to have impressive beauty, professional communication and presentation skills.
