Miss Vietnam 2024 National Cultural Costume: "This is not a national costume..."
Historian Duong Trung Quoc - Head of the advisory board of the National Cultural Costume competition within the framework of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest said: "I hope everyone understands that this is not a national costume, but these are all the creations of designers inspired by national costumes and national culture to create new emotions for our time.
We want to emphasize that, in addition to the main language of fashion design, many other artistic languages are also integrated such as decorative arts, plastic arts, crafts, lighting and installation. But do not forget the performances of our contestants. And from there, we love even more the cultural heritages left by our ancestors that the younger generations have recreated with a very new and modern perspective.
Following the National Cultural Costume competition, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien - Head of the Jury of Miss Vietnam 2024 said: "Through the performance, the creators were inspired by our rich culture. We are proud that our country's culture has inspired the creations from the mind, into drawings and from there realized into the costumes as they are today.
In addition, thanks to the excellent performances of the contestants, the designs became soulful and imbued with national identity. I believe this has impressed and inspired young creators."

Despite careful and meticulous preparation, the National Costume Competition of Miss Vietnam 2024 was regrettable when it encountered a power outage, causing the program to be postponed. In addition, due to the rather bulky and difficult-to-move designs, some contestants were quite confused while performing.
Notably, contestant Vo Nguyen Gia Han's performance with the design "Tet Tay Neu Hoi" had an accident where the long pole behind her back broke. After the incident, contestant Gia Han regained her composure to complete her performance.
