Support the poor to "settle down" for Tet

Thanks to the joint efforts of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Nam Thanh Hoa Branch (Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa), in recent years, many policy families and poor households in the province have been supported to build spacious, warm and affectionate houses.

Support the poor to Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa inaugurated and handed over a gratitude house to the family of Ms. Lo Thi Tu in Tan Thanh village, Thanh Hoa commune (Nhu Xuan).

Implementing Directive No. 22-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on "The campaign to support the construction of houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in 2024-2025", these days, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has inaugurated and handed over a house of gratitude to the family of Ms. Lo Thi Tu, Tan Thanh village, Thanh Hoa commune (Nhu Xuan). It is known that Ms. Tu's family is in particularly difficult circumstances. The elderly couple and two mentally disabled children live in a cramped, makeshift house that has seriously degraded but cannot be repaired. Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa supported 90 million VND to build a level 4 house with an area of over 60m2.

The family of Ms. Le Thi Phe, in On Lam village, Yen My commune (Nong Cong) is also a poor household in the commune. Many years ago, she lived in a dilapidated house but did not have the means to repair it. With the support of 60 million VND from Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa and other sources of support, Ms. Phe's family was able to build a new house. After the house was completed, Agribank Nong Cong, under Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa, also supported Ms. Phe's family with 10 million VND to buy tables, chairs and household items. With a new house, Ms. Phe's family is assured to stabilize their lives, actively work and produce, and strive to escape poverty.

Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Party Secretary, Director of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa, said: The motto of the unit is that people in rural areas are not only customers but also companions in building a strong and sustainable Agribank. Therefore, along with investing capital to help farmers build effective economic models, create jobs for many workers, increase income, the bank regularly implements social security programs, cares for, and improves the quality of life for farming households in especially difficult circumstances, policy families in many localities in the province. Social security programs are the driving force contributing to spreading the humanitarian spirit of "Mutual love and support" to join hands to help farming households in especially difficult circumstances have new homes.

In implementing social security work, in recent years, Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa has closely coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and localities to effectively implement many projects that have brought practical results. Specifically, from 2019 to present, the bank has spent more than 20 billion VND on social security work in localities, such as: donating seedlings to implement Tet tree planting; donating bookcases to add letters, reduce poverty; building charity houses; giving Tet gifts to the poor; supporting school construction...

The houses of gratitude built from the contributions of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa have contributed to helping poor households and policy families in many localities in the province have stable housing to develop production and improve the quality of life. At the same time, it clearly demonstrates the image of "Agribank - A bank responsible for the community". The contributions to the community of Agribank Nam Thanh Hoa have been recognized and highly appreciated by local authorities and Party committees. In 2020, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit; in 2021 and 2023, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the title of "Typical Enterprise of Thanh Hoa"; received the emulation flag of the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2023; in 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Certificate of Merit for its outstanding achievements in production and business, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in 2024.
