(CLO) Dong Nai Province Department of Construction said that the Provincial People's Council has just issued Resolution No. 25, dated November 29, regulating the mechanism to support investment in building social housing in the province, effective from December 9.

Accordingly, Dong Nai decided to support 20% of the investment cost for the construction of technical infrastructure systems (except for technical systems inside the building) within the scope of the project to build social housing, housing for the people's armed forces, and workers' accommodation in industrial parks invested in construction not using public investment capital.

Funding sources come from the provincial budget and other legal sources. The subjects are investors of the 3 types of housing projects mentioned above.

Dong Nai supports 20% of investment capital for social housing infrastructure but must ensure capital investment.

Support principles: supported projects must ensure implementation time and progress; support is considered after construction is completed and inspected and confirmed by competent authorities; these supports cannot be included in the selling price or rental price of the house.

Regarding the progress of social housing construction, from 2021 to now, Dong Nai province has only completed 1,660 social housing units. This number is very low compared to the target set in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and the Resolution of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Council that 10,000 social housing units must be built in the 2021-2025 period.
