Coach Pep Guardiola believes that Man City has no other choice but to defeat Inter Milan in the Champions League final to confirm their status as a major team in Europe.

Coach Pep Guardiola spoke before the match with Inter Milan at 2am on June 11 in Istanbul (Türkiye):
"We have to accept that if we want to take a decisive step forward as a big club, we have to win the Champions League final."
The Spaniard added: "We have to win, there is no other way. But the most important thing is that we are in the final again and again.
With our club, everyone has to be humble. You have to be ambitious but not too greedy.
This playground has brought me very sad moments that have hurt me, that will always be in my mind, but it has also given me extremely beautiful moments."
When asked by reporters how much support Man City will receive from fans from other Premier League clubs in the Champions League final, coach Pep Guardiola frankly expressed:
"I don't know. I don't know if Man Utd want us to win the Champions League anymore.
But obviously not everyone in the world wants you to win the league. I'm sure there are a lot of people in Italy who want Inter Milan to win and others who don't. That's football.
Those who like us will definitely like it but others... it doesn't matter if they like Inter more".
According to coach Pep Guardiola, Inter Milan is a more successful team than Man City with 3 Champions League titles, but past achievements are not important and Man City knows how to play to defeat Inter in this final.
The Spanish strategist concluded: "Reaching the Champions League final is a dream. We have been there before, in other circumstances.
The final result depends on the specific performance in 90 minutes. History is not important and if we look at history, Inter are stronger than Man City.
The important thing is that Man City must play better than their opponents for at least 90 minutes. The achievements we achieved in the group stage, quarter-finals, last season, the Premier League or the FA Cup need to be put aside."
