Although the team had to stop early, coach Hoang Anh Tuan said he was still very proud of his students.
“It’s over. I want to congratulate the Saudi Arabia Olympics. We lost and the game is over. But we have a young team and this tournament will be a very good lesson for the players in the future.
Before this match, we knew that the chances for Olympic Vietnam were very small. Today, Olympic Vietnam tried their best. I am satisfied with the performance of the players," Mr. Tuan shared in the press conference after the match.
The coach from Khanh Hoa said that ASIAD 19 will be a big lesson for Van Khang and his teammates and the players still have many opportunities to do it again.
“This performance is an important premise for the future. The players played with determination and good spirit, I am proud of them,” coach Hoang Anh Tuan added.
Meanwhile, assessing the match, coach Saad Alis Al-Shehri said: “Saudi Arabia Olympic did not play as expected. Vietnam Olympic defended well, making it difficult for us to score.
Saudi Arabia Olympic had many scoring opportunities, but did not take advantage of them. The performance of the whole team has improved, we will be stronger in the future. This is a worthy victory for the efforts of Saudi Arabia Olympic."
After 3 matches, Olympic Vietnam has 3 points, scored 4 goals, conceded 9 goals and ranked 3rd in group B.
