China coach Hoang Anh Tuan was satisfied with the score but angry with the mistakes that led to the yellow card of Olympic Vietnam.
A brace from Nguyen Quoc Viet, along with two goals from Khuat Van Khang and Vo Nguyen Hoang, helped Vietnam beat Mongolia 4-2 in the opening match of Group B of the 19th Asian Games this afternoon, September 19. However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan was not entirely happy.
"I am very angry with the mistakes that led to the yellow card," Mr. Tuan said at the press conference after the match. "I am very upset inside and it is difficult to say I am satisfied with this match."

Vietnam received three yellow cards in this match. In the 59th minute, when the score was 3-1, midfielder Nguyen Duc Phu made a mistake when he tackled the ball from behind. In the 85th minute, when leading 4-1, defender Le Nguyen Hoang committed a foul near the penalty area, preventing the opponent from penetrating. In the fifth minute of injury time, Nguyen Duc Anh illegally blocked the ball on the right wing, indirectly helping Mongolia get a free kick to score the second goal of the match.
According to the regulations of the 19th Asian Games men's football, a player who receives two yellow cards will be banned from the next match.
In addition to the penalty card, the 55-year-old coach assessed that some of his players played without concentration when they were ahead, including goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan in the second goal. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan said that the mistake that led to the change in the situation was very regrettable. "If the result of this match affects the next match, it is worth thinking about," he said.

The remaining match in the first round of Group J between Iran and Saudi Arabia will take place at 6:30 p.m. the same day.
The victory over Mongolia almost ensured Vietnam's place in the top three. In the remaining two matches, Vietnam needs to score points against two strong opponents to secure the right to decide for themselves in the knockout round.
The 19th Asian Games men's football tournament consists of 21 teams divided into six groups. The teams will play a round robin, selecting the six first-place teams, six second-place teams and four third-place teams with the best records to advance to the round of 16.
