Although still receiving the trust of the Pau FC fans' Board of Directors, Coach Tholot wants to find a new challenge.

Sharing the reason for his resignation, the 59-year-old coach said: "We fought together for three seasons and achieved a little success, which was staying in the French Second Division. I am extremely proud of what we have done with my students.

But I also ask myself, am I satisfied with just worrying about staying in the league every year? I understand that life doesn't always go the way we want. Either way, I leave Pau FC with my head held high."

According to the announcement from Pau FC, assistant coach Kamal Tassali has been temporarily promoted to take over the "hot seat" of the team. During the past time, Pau FC will be looking for a coach who fits the club's philosophy.

Pau FC has a turbulent summer ahead. They almost made a change last season, bringing in more than 30 new players. However, not everyone has met expectations. Therefore, they will have to clean up the squad.

Recently, Quang Hai said goodbye to Pau FC after a period of disappointment. For a long time, the Vietnamese player has not had a place in the Pau FC squad. The last time the midfielder born in 1997 played for the club was on February 18 this year. In 2023, Quang Hai has only played two matches for Pau FC with a total of 10 minutes. Therefore, the Vietnamese midfielder is looking for a new destination to be able to play more.

Commenting on Quang Hai's journey, Sud Ouest newspaper said that the Vietnamese player was just a commercial contract of Pau FC. The newspaper wrote: "Pau FC has had an unstable season as expected. Many players had to leave the club at the end of the season.

The first is Quang Hai. The Vietnamese player announced early that he would no longer join the adventure with Pau FC even though he still had more than a year left on his contract. After a disappointing period at Pau FC, the "Vietnamese Messi" could return home. Before moving to France, Quang Hai was a mainstay of the Vietnamese national team and Hanoi FC.

This adventure has taught Quang Hai many things. Perhaps, he is just a commercial contract of Pau FC. The appearance of the midfielder born in 1997 helped Pau FC's Facebook page increase from 15,000 to 340,000 followers. Besides, Quang Hai also helped Pau FC sign a few contracts.
