In the last days of the year, at the construction site of the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh, hundreds of officers, engineers, and workers from the project implementation units are still working hard to ensure progress. |
In the picture is the road section through Ba Vong hill (Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh) belonging to the Vung Ang - Bung expressway. This section has a total investment of more than 12,500 billion VND, started on January 1, 2023 by Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Transport) as the investor. After the construction period, the hill has been lowered by 60m, the embankment has collapsed, the project implementation unit is completing the final items such as laying the final asphalt layer and installing the railing system and signs. |
Along the Vung Ang - Bung expressway, there are 33 bridges, including 28 bridges on the expressway and 5 bridges crossing the expressway. |

The Deo But tunnel project is nearly 1km long, passing through Dong Nang mountain, the north is in Ky Lac commune (Ky Anh district), the south is in Ky Hoa commune (Ky Anh town). The project is designed to be permanent, reinforced concrete shell, with two separate tunnels, each 15m wide and 8m high. The contractor is currently focusing on the construction of the remaining tunnel. |
According to the leader of Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Transport - Project Investor), the right tunnel was dug through on May 19. The left tunnel still has 25m of undried land due to the unconverted natural forest area, so the contractor has not been able to clear the slope and reinforce the tunnel entrance for construction. The Board is coordinating with the locality to complete the procedures for converting forest land to continue construction. |
At this time, engineers and workers of the project implementation unit are focusing on completing the tunnel shell in December to proceed with the construction of tunnel finishing items such as: fire box, pedestrian railing, technical box, lighting, ventilation system. |

At the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section, one of the 12 component projects of the North - South Eastern Expressway, phase 2021-2025, contractors are laying the C25, C19, C16 hollow asphalt concrete layer. This section is 54.2km long with a total investment of more than VND 9,700 billion, passing through Thach Ha, Cam Xuyen and Ky Anh districts of Ha Tinh province. |
Mr. Nguyen Khac Trung - Executive Director of Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport - project investor) said that this section has reached about 72% of the volume, some units have exceeded the expected progress to compensate for the recent rains. |
“The package of the unit has reached 90-95%, some locations are over hills and waiting for technical subsidence to be completed. When the weather is favorable, we will complete the road surface, install the sign system, railings...”, the representative of Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise - construction package 11,12XL informed. |
To ensure the handover schedule in April 2025, each unit implementing the bidding packages is speeding up and preparing enough human resources and machinery for the project construction process. |

The North-South Expressway in the East section through Ha Tinh province has 4 component projects, including: Dien Chau - Bai Vot (phase 2017 - 2020), Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung (phase 2021 - 2025) with a total length of more than 102km through the area. In the picture is the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section (Cam Xuyen district). According to the plan, in April 2025, the entire route will be handed over and put into operation.
