New innovations from Arm promise to bring many changes to Android smartphones. |
According to a report from research firm Moor Insights and Strategy, the Cortex-X processor that Arm is about to introduce will be the most powerful CPU for smartphones. Currently, this CPU is known by the code name Blackhawk.
"The performance increase this new processor brings will be the largest in the past 5 years. This CPU also integrates a large language model (LLM), which helps accelerate generative AI tasks," the report revealed.
Processors on Android smartphones have seen significant upgrades in recent times. However, the single-core processing speed of Arm chips still does not reach the optimal performance compared to silicon chips developed by Apple.
New innovations from Arm promise to bring many changes to Android smartphones, especially for high-end products.
Most likely, the new generation Blackhawk processor will be equipped on two chips MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Samsung Exynos 2500. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will also use the Oryon CPU core customized by Qualcomm.
