VKBIA Association continues to strengthen local connections between Vietnam and Korea

At the main meeting room of Siheung City Council, receiving and working with the delegation, Mr. Park Chun-Ho - Chairman of the Siheung City Council's Autonomous Administrative Committee shared: "Siheung City has a population of about 580 thousand people, of which more than 18 thousand enterprises are operating, and has a high-tech industrial park. Currently, Siheung not only prioritizes industrial development but also focuses on developing tourism,education , and human resource development. Siheung City currently has more than 30,000 foreigners residing, living, working and studying. In which, the Vietnamese community is growing more and more here. In recent times, Siheung City has always paid attention to cooperation with Vietnamese localities, and has always promoted and supported businesses in Siheung City to cooperate with Vietnam".

On behalf of the Siheung City Council, Mr. Park Chun Ho also thanked the Chairman of the VKBIA Association - Tran Hai Linh and his colleagues for always accompanying the activities of Siheung City, including supporting the Siheung City Industrial Development Agency and businesses that visited and worked to explore cooperation opportunities in Vietnam. And he was also very pleased to discuss with the parliamentarians and Council members with representatives of Lam Dong province on plans to promote development and deeper and stronger cooperation in many fields between the two localities.

On the afternoon of April 29, at the Anyang City Hall Office (Korea), Mr. Choi Dae-ho - Mayor of Anyang City (Korea) worked with the delegation. Sharing at the meeting, the Mayor of Anyang City (Korea) said: Anyang is one of the 20 largest cities in Korea. At the end of 2023, Anyang received certification from the Korean government as a Smart City, due to its achievements in applying high technology in city management and development.

The Mayor of Anyang City also always emphasized cooperation and development with similar localities of Vietnam and emphasized the potential for cooperation and companionship with Lam Dong province in the coming time. At the same time, he proposed that VKBIA President Tran Hai Linh and his colleagues in the coming time will continue to accompany to promote cooperation between Anyang City and localities, agencies and organizations of Vietnam. He also respectfully invited the delegation to visit the Anyang Smart City Management Complex, the city's latest achievement.

During the working sessions, Mr. Tran Hai Linh expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Siheung City Council and Anyang City for always paying attention and supporting the Vietnamese community here, and affirmed that he will continue to accompany the two cities in the following activities; especially continuing to act as a bridge for economy, trade, tourism, culture and education, enhancing the practical effectiveness of activities between localities and businesses between Vietnam and Korea...

In the next schedule of the working delegation, VKBIA Association and the delegation of Lam Dong province visited and worked at the Anyang City Industrial Promotion Agency, where more than 7,200 high-tech industrial enterprises and manufacturing enterprises in many fields are concentrated, bringing domestic value and export tens of billions of USD to the city every year.

Here, the parties witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Lam Dong province and VKBIA Association to continue promoting cooperation in Trade, Investment and Tourism, enhancing exchange and cooperation between Lam Dong (Vietnam) and Korea in the coming time.
