Regarding the fire that killed 3 mothers and children in Tu Hiep commune (Thanh Tri district, Hanoi), Thanh Tri district police are coordinating with the professional department of Hanoi city police to examine the scene and investigate the cause of the fire.
Previously, at around 5:45 p.m. on October 26, the Hanoi City Police Command Center received a report of a house fire.
Upon receiving the information, the unit promptly mobilized Thanh Tri District Police to coordinate with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Department of Hanoi City Police to approach the scene to quickly extinguish the fire.
Initially, it was determined that the fire occurred at a level 4 house with a corrugated iron roof, doing business and collecting scrap.
At the time of the fire, there were 4 people in the house, including: Mr. MVY (born in 1988, from Xuan Truong district, Nam Dinh), Ms. NTT (born in 1992, Mr. Y's wife), MTĐ. (born in 2012), and MBA (born in 2018), Mr. Y's and Ms. T's children.
According to witnesses, when the fire broke out, Mr. Y. managed to escape outside and called for help from the people to rescue the mother and three children trapped inside.
A representative of Thanh Tri District Police said that the initial cause was determined to be that Mr. Y. used a specialized machine to compress scrap and pressed a hairspray can, causing it to explode and catch fire.
Thanh Tri District Police are continuing to coordinate with functional forces to investigate and clarify the cause.
