The Iran-aligned militant group said it carried out “a combined attack using guided missiles and explosive drones on a new military reconnaissance command center in Arab al-Aramshe,” a predominantly Arab village near the Lebanese border.

The Israeli military confirmed that 14 of its soldiers were wounded in Wednesday’s attack, including six in serious condition. The Israeli military later said its warplanes had struck Hezbollah “infrastructure” in eastern Lebanon.
The attack came a day after an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon killed three people, including a Hezbollah field commander identified by the Israeli military as Ismail Yusaf Baz.
Several Israeli soldiers who crossed into Lebanon were injured on Monday when Hezbollah detonated explosive devices, the first such incident in six months of conflict between the two sides. Hezbollah said in a statement that its fighters had planted explosives in the Tel Ismail area of southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah and Israel have been fighting for more than six months in parallel with the Gaza war, in the most serious hostilities between the two sides since the 2006 war.
The fighting has raised fears of further escalation, after Iran launched air strikes against Israel last weekend in response to an alleged Israeli attack on Iran's embassy in Syria earlier.
Israel has said it will respond even as some Western countries urge it to avoid escalating the conflict in the Middle East. US President Joe Biden has said Washington will not go to war if Israel attacks Iran.
