1. Capital Education continues to develop
In 2024, Hanoi city will be the locality with the largest educational scale in the country with a total of 2,913 kindergartens and general schools at all levels, 2.3 million students, nearly 128,000 teachers; 1 school for training educational staff; 29 vocational education and continuing education centers.

In 2024, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will complete the 10th grade entrance exam, high school graduation exam, and admission to kindergartens, grades 1 and 6, creating convenience for people, parents and students, overcoming the limitations and shortcomings in the examination and admission work of previous years such as: No more queuing to submit application documents or drawing lots to enter public schools; no more errors such as "blurry exam questions"...
The city's overall high school graduation rate reached 99.81%, an increase of 0.25% and 5 ranks higher than in 2023 (from 16th to 11th).
Hanoi is the locality with the most 10 points in the high school graduation exam in the country with 915 points.
Of the 200 candidates with the highest total high school graduation exam scores, Hanoi city has 33 candidates, in particular, 1 candidate has the highest total high school graduation exam score in the country: 57.85 points.
The city has 194/269 schools with a high school graduation rate of 100%, an increase of 54% compared to 2023.
4. The capital's key education ranks first in the country in national and international competitions for excellent students.
In 2024, Hanoi students ranked first in the country with 184 students winning prizes in national competitions for excellent students, higher than in 2023.
