The highest awards of the 2024 Central Region Women's Entrepreneurship Competition have found worthy owners, recognizing the determination, creativity, overcoming challenges, barriers, and gender prejudices of women in the region.
The 2024 Women's Startup Competition with the theme "Women's creative startups and green transformation" has attracted the attention of many women across the country to participate in the competition, increasing sharply in both scale and quality. At the reception and screening round at the provincial, municipal and coordinating agencies and units levels, there were 2,545 Startup Projects participating in the competition, an increase of 26% compared to the 2023 Competition and an increase of 65% compared to the previous year's competition in 2021. Through the extremely serious and strict judging rounds, 80 typical startup projects were selected to participate in the final round of the Regional Women's Startup Competition in 3 regions: North, Central and South.

The final round of the Central Region Women's Startup Competition had a total of 25 participating startup projects, including 22 projects from 16 provinces and cities and 03 projects from the Vietnam Association of People with Disabilities. This is the region that concentrates the majority of Startup Projects of women with disabilities with 10/13 projects participating in the preliminary round of all 03 regions and of these, 03 projects have entered the Central Region Final round. In addition, the Central region also has the largest number of Candidates under the age of 35 compared to the other 03 regions, accounting for 52% of the total number of Candidates participating in the Central Region Final round.
On the morning of September 27, the Award Ceremony of the "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition 2024 at the Central Region level was held by the Vietnam Women's Union in Quang Ngai province, honoring and awarding outstanding Startup Projects.
Of which, 12 candidates were awarded the Encouragement Prize, each worth 4 million VND; 05 candidates were awarded the Third Prize, each worth 6 million VND; 04 projects were awarded the Second Prize, each worth 8 million VND; 03 projects were awarded the First Prize, each worth 12 million VND and 01 special prize worth 15 million VND.
Outstanding projects, winning third prize or higher, will continue to participate in the National Finals of the 2024 Women's Entrepreneurship Competition, which will take place this coming October in Hanoi.
