Wide open job opportunities
Sharing about the potential of the Veterinary industry, Dr. Duong Van Nhiem - lecturer of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, assessed that the human resource demand of the industry is very open, especially qualified and professional human resources.
“Currently, Vietnam is lacking human resources in the Agriculture - Forestry - Fisheries sector, including Veterinary Medicine. Therefore, students with knowledge and qualifications do not have to worry about unemployment. Veterinary Medicine graduates can work in state agencies, pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing companies, or in hospitals and veterinary clinics,” said Dr. Duong Van Nhiem.
Sharing about this issue, Mr. Pham Duc Vu - Technical Director of Central Veterinary Medicine Joint Stock Company 5 said - the company is ready to create the best conditions for high-quality human resources.
“Currently, our company is recruiting for all positions such as vaccine research and development staff, crossbreeding, biological products; sample receiving staff; undercover sales staff and some other fields.
When accepting job positions, employees will receive the best working conditions, thereby promoting their strengths and bringing value to the business" - Mr. Vu shared.
Attractive salary
Job opportunities and salary are the factors that many students put first when choosing a career. When faced with Veterinary Medicine - a major considered old, many young people wonder about the treatment they will receive after graduation.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong - Head of Sales Department of Agriviet Veterinary Medicine Joint Stock Company assessed - the starting salary of the Veterinary industry is quite attractive.
“The salary for Veterinary graduates is considered higher than the average compared to other professions, ranging from 15 to 30 million/month. For high-quality personnel, the salary can be even higher,” said Mr. Cuong.
Regarding this issue, Dr. Duong Van Nhiem acknowledged: “In general, in any profession, the salary will go hand in hand with the knowledge and professional qualifications of the human resources. Judging from the job fair recently organized by the Academy of Agriculture, veterinary businesses are willing to pay generous salaries to human resources who meet their requirements.”
Requirements for learners
The direct service object of the Veterinary industry is animals, but the indirect service object is humans. Therefore, the Veterinary industry is also considered a sector that contributes to improving public health. This sets out a number of requirements for human resources graduating from the Veterinary industry.
Sharing about this issue, Ms. Tran Thuy Thuy - a veterinarian with 10 years of experience in the profession, owner of the Tiktok channel Veterinary OVET, said that - to really work in the profession, students need to "learn while doing".
“The veterinary industry is very broad, each type of animal will have different characteristics and diseases. The knowledge in books and the practice of diagnosing and prescribing diseases are very far apart if students only study passively.
Therefore, right from when you are a student, create opportunities for yourself to experience and practice, thereby accumulating experience and improving your qualifications. This is the fastest way to have open job opportunities and attractive salaries" - Ms. Thuy advised.
Currently, many universities train in Veterinary Medicine such as: Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hung Vuong University, Can Tho University...
