Quang Nam Provincial People's Council supervises the management and use of investment capital in Hoi An

The supervision content is related to investment management of projects using official development assistance (ODA) capital, preferential loans from foreign donors and settlement of public investment projects in the province in the period of 2020 - 2023 implemented in Hoi An.

Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee said that Hoi An City People's Committee regularly directs relevant departments to urge the progress of implementation, prepare project settlement documents to ensure timely completion according to regulations; promptly resolve and remove obstacles related to the work of examining and approving project settlement.

Specifically, in the period of 2020 - 2023, the city has 1 project using non-refundable ODA capital sponsored by the Korea Energy Agency (KEA). That is the Smart Street Lighting Pilot Project with a total cost of about 3.7 billion VND, the city's counterpart budget is more than 741.3 billion VND.

The result of the project was the installation of a new 150-LED system combining time-based control modules and dynamic control modules in the existing lighting infrastructure on Hai Ba Trung Street.

Through the project implementation, Hoi An has built a smart, energy-saving lighting system; improved capacity for units and raised community awareness of energy conservation.

Regarding the settlement of public investment projects under provincial management in the period of 2020 - 2023, in Hoi An, there are 11 public investment projects whose investment policies were decided by the provincial level that have been completed and settled. Of which, 8 projects have been settled (the approved settlement capital is 526,444 billion VND); 3 projects have had settlement approval decisions but have not been settled.
