This year, the audience was truly captivated by the innovation of the competition's organizing committee when they changed the professional jury with 3 new faces: People's Artist Thanh Nam, People's Artist Trong Phuc, Meritorious Artist Thoai My and the artists participating in the coaching board including: People's Artist Phuong Loan, Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong, artist Thanh Hang.

In the first competition night, 9 contestants selected from the selection round performed traditional songs according to each theme. This is a new feature to create an opportunity for all 3 contestants in a team to support each other, creating a high and low, flexible sound for the traditional song.
