Teachers Le Thi Kim Hoa and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien, Binh Minh Specialized School (Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City), and students performed an art performance in the program to honor "Outstanding Young Teachers of Ho Chi Minh City" in 2024 on the evening of November 18.
These are children with congenital disabilities and developmental delays who have been directly taught by teachers Kim Hoa and Ngoc Hien at Binh Minh Special School for many years.
Sharing in the program, teacher Kim Hoa expressed her emotions when performing with the students, the performance was like a gift to the teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. "Although the performance was simple, it was the result of the hard work of the teacher and students, especially the great efforts of the students", Ms. Kim Hoa confided.
Sharing her career story, Ms. Kim Hoa told about an autistic student with very special circumstances, a difficult life living only with her grandmother, while her parents both remarried.
When teaching her, Ms. Hoa said that she is both a teacher and a mother to educate and care for her. Although the student has many behaviors such as screaming, disturbing, biting friends... but for teacher Kim Hoa, those things have never made her tired, want to stop or give up. "After a period of teaching her with all the love of a teacher and a mother, up to now, this student has made a lot of progress", Ms. Kim Hoa said.
"With the love of a special education teacher, we will not hesitate to wholeheartedly teach our child to continue his life, not only developing normally physically but also with life skills. I believe that the love of teachers is the motivation for students at the school to continue to develop," Ms. Kim Hoa emotionally shared.

Also directly teaching students at Binh Minh Special School, teacher Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien wants to bring love to students, accompany and share difficulties with parents. "Just seeing the small progress of the students makes me very happy. For example, today, there was a student who just bowed to greet his parents when he left, the teacher felt very happy and warm-hearted", teacher Ngoc Hien confided.

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union honored 457 examples of "Outstanding Young Teachers of Ho Chi Minh City", including 97 young teachers who have achieved the title for many consecutive years.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy affirmed that the 457 teachers honored are exemplary individuals in their profession, who are "diligent ferrymen, not afraid of difficulties with love for the profession, love for students and affection for the cause of education and training, fostering high-quality human resources for the city and the country".
“In the journey of bringing knowledge to the classroom, the difficulties and challenges of each young teacher and lecturer today are not only the requirement to constantly improve their skills, teaching capacity, professional qualifications, and necessary skills, but also finding solutions so that every day at school for students is a happy day, every lesson is an interesting experience, so that students feel that school is a second home, and each teacher is a close friend and companion,” Ms. Dieu Thuy emphasized.

The “Outstanding Young Teacher of Ho Chi Minh City” award is for young lecturers and teachers (under 35 years old) working directly at educational and training institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.
