On the afternoon of October 27, Da Nang City and Thua Thien Hue Province quickly reported on the response to storm No. 6 - storm Tra Mi and counted the initial damage.
Da Nang: Dozens of houses had their roofs blown off, 1,000 trees fell due to storm No. 6
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City has just issued a quick report on the response to storm No. 6 - storm Tra Mi and initial damage statistics. Accordingly, storm No. 6 caused 51 houses to be flooded in Hoa Bac commune (Hoa Vang district). By 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, the water had receded.
Storm Tra Mi also caused 62 houses in Da Nang to have their roofs blown off. Of these, 53 houses had their roofs partially blown off and nine houses had their roofs completely blown off.
Regarding agriculture , a sunken boat was identified as the boat without a number belonging to Mr. Le Chan Tho, residing in Tho Quang ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang. 12 hectares of crops were damaged.

In the whole city of Da Nang, there are 909 fallen trees. The most is in Hoa Vang district with 439 fallen trees.
The entire city recorded three incidents of 110kV power grid failure. 177 transformer stations and one 22kV line have not been restored. Some areas are still without power, expected to be restored before 6pm the same day.
Nhu Nguyet Street (near Thuan Phuoc Bridge) was flooded by rising river water, causing a section of the road about 150 meters long. Large waves caused damage, causing pavement tiles to come off in many places, falling decorative lamp posts on the river side, and soil and sand to spill onto the sidewalk and roadway.

Road signs on the routes were tilted and fell in 61 places. Traffic lights stopped working, were shifted, rotated, or broken due to strong winds at 31 intersections.
Currently, the authorities are overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 6.
Storm Tra Mi causes hundreds of houses in Hue to have their roofs blown off, many places are deeply flooded.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien Hue province said that storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi) caused 214 houses in the province to have their roofs blown off or damaged, of which 210 were in Phu Loc district and 4 were in Hue city.
Of the 210 houses whose roofs were blown off or damaged by storm Tra Mi in Phu Loc district, there were 16 houses in Loc Dien commune, 63 houses in Phu Loc town, 24 houses in Loc Thuy commune, 22 houses in Loc Tien commune, 73 houses in Lang Co town...

In addition to houses, storm Tra Mi also caused many government offices and schools in Thua Thien Hue province to have their roofs blown off and be damaged.
The impact of storm Tra Mi also caused flooding in many places in the province. In Lang Co town, rising sea water due to high tides caused 1-1.5m of flooding for 47 houses in My Loi hamlet, An Cu Tan residential group, An Cu Dong 1. On National Highway 1A through Lang Co town, rising sea water caused flooding of 0.2-0.5m with a length of about 300m.
In Quang Dien district, Provincial Road 4 through Quang Phuoc commune is flooded from 0.8 to 1 meter deep; Provincial Road 8A through Quang Tho commune is flooded from 0.2 to 0.5 meters; many roads in the areas of Quang Thanh and Quang An communes are flooded from 0.3 to 0.5 meters... causing traffic paralysis.
In Hue City, some inner-city roads and the southeastern part of the city were flooded from 0.2 to 0.3 meters. Some inter-commune and village roads in Huong Phong, Hai Duong, and Thuan An were flooded from 1 to 1.5 meters.
In Phong Dien district, provincial road 6 through Phong Thu commune was flooded for 40m, the deepest point was 0.5m; provincial road 17B in many sections was flooded for 0.5m; inter-village roads in Phong Chuong, Phong Binh, Phong Hoa, Phong Thu, Phong My, Phong Xuan communes were flooded in many places with a total length of 10,000m, the deepest point was 0.6m...

Storm Tra Mi also caused the coastal area bordering Phu Thuan commune, Phu Vang district and Thuan An town, Hue city to continue to erode, high tides flooded into the restaurant area inside. The Giang Hai-Vinh Hien coast (Phu Loc district) had high sea levels, flooding deep into the farming and production area. The Giang Hai-Vinh My coast continued to erode, eroding 500m long. The coast in Phong Hai commune (Phong Dien district) was eroded with a length of about 1.3km, 8m deep.
In response to storm Tra Mi, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has directed localities to evacuate 2,469 households/7,085 people to safe storm and flood shelters.
