Starting from November 26, Korean Air will launch a new route from Seoul (Korea) to Phu Quoc. Accordingly, flights will depart daily at 3:45 p.m. (local time) from Seoul and arrive in Phu Quoc at 7:50 p.m. The return flight from Phu Quoc will depart at 9:20 p.m. and arrive at Incheon Airport in Seoul at 4:50 a.m. the next morning (local time).
This is a signal that Phu Quoc will witness the "invasion" of Korean tourists, in addition to the destinations that are favored by this group of tourists, Da Nang and Nha Trang.

According to a survey by Yonhap news agency, the number of Korean tourists to Phu Quoc is gradually increasing thanks to word of mouth, to the point where it is easy to see Korean signs in restaurants and massage parlors in the center of the island city.
The launch of a new flight route to Phu Quoc by South Korea's national airline is also aimed at meeting the growing demand of Korean tourists to Vietnam's largest island, especially in winter.
Some studies show that November is the right time to open new flights to Phu Quoc, as the island enters its most beautiful season of the year. The Korean newspaper TTL also commented that Phu Quoc is a tourist destination that families, friends and couples can enjoy.

Yonhap news agency also suggested a series of activities that Korean tourists love: experiencing resort paradises in the South of the island such as: Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Premier Village Phu Quoc, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay... or admiring the Mediterranean scenery in a tropical country at Sunset Town.
Mr. Yong Sung Ok - Head of Southeast Asia of Korea's top travel company - Hanatour said: "Vietnam is the most searched and popular country with Korean tourists recently. Geographically close, there are many flights, and airfares are also relatively cheap for Koreans."
It can be said that, in addition to the natural scenery and many attractive experiences, one of the reasons why Korean tourists increasingly want to travel to Phu Quoc is because of the reasonable cost.

In addition, another thing that attracts Korean tourists is the island's "open" visa policy. Phu Quoc is currently considered the most attractive destination in Vietnam for international visitors due to its visa-free entry policy, with a temporary stay of up to 30 days.
According to data from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, our country welcomed more than 2.274 million Korean tourists in the first 8 months of 2023. This number is about 16 times the growth rate of the same period in 2022. Currently, Korea is confirmed as the largest market sending tourists to Vietnam.
