On July 6, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Pham Thu Hang said that Vietnamese authorities are verifying information that the BlackPink concert organizers support the nine-dash line.

"Vietnam's stance on the nine-dash line claim has been clearly stated many times. Products and publications printed with the nine-dash line in Vietnam violate Vietnam's regulations and are unacceptable," she said.

Immediately afterwards, the CEO of IME, Mr. Brian Chow, apologized for the image of the nine-dash line on the map.

"The map image on the website does not represent any national territory. We are aware of the need to respect the sovereignty and culture of countries. IME has reviewed and committed to replacing images that are not suitable for the Vietnamese people. We apologize for this unfortunate misunderstanding," IME's CEO wrote in a statement.

Regarding the image of the nine-dash line on the website, IME Vietnam explained that IME is a multinational entertainment company, established in 2006 with 11 offices across Asia. The website is a general link page, not the official website in Vietnam.
