The University of Social Sciences and Humanities only has a Public Relations major with a benchmark score of 100/150, while the University of Foreign Languages ​​has four majors with a benchmark score of 120/150.

On the evening of July 7, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities , Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announced the benchmark scores for the group of candidates using the results of the competency assessment exam.

Public Relations received 100/150 points, the same as last year and the highest among the school's 27 majors. Psychology was the second highest with 90 points, while the rest hovered around 80. This year, the school reserved 30% of its 2,000 quotas for this method.

In addition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also conducts direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, according to the National University's own project; considers admission by combining international language certificates with high school graduation exam scores and considering three graduation exam subjects.

On the same day, the University of Foreign Languages ​​also announced the benchmark scores with the results of the competency assessment test, accounting for 34% of the 1,650 targets.

While the benchmark score for the separate exam of Hanoi National University ranges from 90-120/150, the benchmark score for Ho Chi Minh City National University is only 960/1,200. Japanese, Chinese, and English pedagogy all have the highest admission threshold, followed by English Language 110. Russian Language and Arabic Language have 90 points - the lowest among 13 majors.

The school also announced the admission threshold for candidates with international certificates. Specifically: For A-Level (high school certificate), candidates must achieve results in three subjects (Math and Literature are required) from 60/100 points or higher. If using SAT and ACT certificates (standardized tests of American universities), candidates need to achieve 1,100/1,600 and 22/36 or higher.

Some majors such as English Pedagogy, Chinese, English Language, German, University of Foreign Languages ​​have higher SAT benchmark scores, from 1,280 and above.

This year, schools under Hanoi National University have four admission methods, similar to last year, including direct admission and priority admission according to regulations; admission based on 2023 high school graduation exam scores (accounting for 30-70% of the target); admission based on competency assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University; other methods (using competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, admission based on international certificates).

Tuition fees for the 2023-2024 academic year at schools under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi range from VND9.8-112.7 million. Of which, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities charges VND15-25 million, and the University of Foreign Languages ​​charges VND15-60 million.
